"This place is cost effective, and amazing. Andrea, the front desk person, did my laundry for me when guest laundry was out. Free of charge, AND SHE FOLDED IT!? I cannot stress enough how much it made my week. A little hard to find initially, but that's the only catch. I wholeheartedly recommend this place."
"I stayed one full week from out of town. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The hot tub was nice and big and clean. Rooms are decent. Housekeeping came every single day and was thorough. Money well spent."
"I gave 5 stars based on what I was looking for: 3 children and myself skied 3 days at Winterplace. Needed a decent place to stay that was easy on the wallet and not a dirty dive. This place was clean enough for what we needed. I’m sure there’s nicer hotel nearby but for at least 2x the price. Evening help at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Pool and HOT TUB was a huge bonus. Breakfast was basic but more than enough to get us out out the door and to the slopes. If you want a GREAT VALUE with just a few extras, look no further."
"Had a great night's sleep. Quiet clean and comfortable. Got it in at 9. :00 and utilized the hot tub... Woke up nice and early to a continental breakfast. All in all a good start for our holiday..."
"The heating in the room was malfunctioning which I addressed with the employee who checked us in within 10 -15 minutes of arrival. Maintenance was sent to the room as he was walking by at the time and assured us it was working and if we had any issues to let them know and he would be back. Also, while he was in there with us another employee, who may have been a part of management, barged in the room using his key without knocking. I saw him downstairs when talking to the person I referenced earlier. Both the desk agent and the gentleman who came into my room unannounced stated the heat will only work in the 78-80 degree range. Maintenance didn’t know anything about the heating/cooling unit, because he stated they were new and they only had about 10 of them. What maintenance called “working” was the heating element heating up and then shutting off with no forced air behind it. It is a forced air unit. We waited approximately an hour and it never started working properly. I went back to the desk and a new worker was there. She stated our room couldn’t be changed after 30 minutes. The room should have been changed with the initial complaint because the heat was not working. She contacted the previous person we had spoken to who told her to go look at it. She did and said the room was freezing. We messed with the remote eventually it came on, for about 10 minutes. We left approximately 35 minutes later and when passing the desk she asked if it was working and we told her no. There was no offer to change the room, because after speaking to the previous person on the phone she told us they were sold out. Prior to returning that evening we had to purchase a space heater for the room. When we came in a new lady was working. She asked how our stay was. We told her about the heat and she asked had they not offered to change our room. I told her after a couple of hours of back and forth with earlier staff, we were told they had no rooms available. She looked surprised to hear this. Also of note is a sign on the elevator that read button is working, only push once. The elevator button was not working, I saw both maintenance and employees have to pound their fist above the button in order for it to work. We were on the second floor so I walked. Catching the elevator from 2 worked fine. The comforter/duvet was dirty and there were fixtures removed on walls that were patched and never painted over. I prefer this not be my experience at a home away from home"
