"We always get the grilled Italian sub, fries, and the chocolate chunk cookie. It was delicious! The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. It is one of our favorite places to go!"
"Beware, their french frier was out of service when we ordered our meals. No offering of a free ChocoChip cookie or free bags of chips. Penn Station should know the reason why they're chosen over Subway or Jimmy Johns is because their customers really enjoy their freshly cut french fries."
"I understand that we entered this establishment at thirty minutes until close on a Sunday afternoon, but that is no excuse for the clown-like service that we received. We were the only patrons, yet it took nearly 1/2 hour to receive our order of a 12, 9 and 6” sandwiches. There were three employees on duty. A young female who obliviously cut her finger and walked around like a zombie, along with some “dude” with a mullet and the perceived IQ of a creek rock. Lastly, an older lady who walked around complaining and found it more important to smoke a cigarette rather than assist her coworkers struggling to preform the most basic tasks of food service. After I paid nearly $15 for my pictured slop pile of a sandwich, I was subsequently told that they were out of nearly every standard ingredient found on your typical sub sandwich. I ended up eating a turkey avocado sandwich with only turkey and mayonnaise, along with the avocado smeared on just about every surface other than where it belonged. Meanwhile, my partner wasn’t thrilled that the employees were using their bare hands to prepare our food. This place should have closed when they realized they lacked standard ingredients such as tomatoes and lettuce rather than mumbling about how busy they were earlier in the day. This place was a disaster that served plenty of unpreparedness and lack of professionalism. As I watched these clowns in action being mentored by my wife as to how to make the sandwiches, I couldn’t help but wonder how this joint’s general manager has received several consecutive “exceptional whatever awards”. Unless there is another water crisis or pandemic and Penn Station In Elkview, WV is the only eating establishment open, we won’t be returning."
"This location has gone down hill significantly in the last couple years. We often travel further out of our way to go to the Kanawha City location for this reason. I always order extra onion and mayo and rarely get more than a couple onions and I always have to ask for mayo packets. The fries are soggy. We’ve eaten here 4 times in the last 3 months and only once was it up to snuff. I’ve gotten sandwiches with black grill scrapings and often the fry cups are not even full anymore. You used to get fries in quantity similar to Five Guys, and we would split a small; but now we have to up to a medium to get the same amount. Today I placed an online order before opening and got there right at 11am. I wanted to add a cookie which they didn’t do and the two people who came in after me and ordered at the counter got their food before I did. It should be noted that my sandwiches were done when I got there and they dropped 3 baskets of fries but still mine was prepped to go last. 18 minutes to essentially make and package fries since the sandwiches were done and waiting at the end line. Shame, because this used to be our favorite location."
"The food in this place is very delicious. It is the most important ingredient that is needed for the food to taste good. It is love when you cook with love, everything is good. from the staff excellent very friendly and above all with a positive vibe to leave the place not only without ambre but also with a very cheerful spirit and a positive bottle. Thank you very much guys"
