Reviews
"Over ran by the homeless. It is sad and shame on Charleston for not doing more."
"I was only there because my son was picking up an order from pies and pints. Capital and Summers streets were blocked off so we parked at Davis Park and I waited while he walked over to pick up his order. There were several homeless people sitting along the street and for ten minutes while I was waiting there, a woman was in the park, sitting alone on a bench and rapidly rocking back and forth and yelling unintelligibly."
"Nice upgrade. It looks very nice and safe, but I did see a homeless person sleeping there."
"This is a nice quiet place to collect your thoughts and enjoy the scenery since covid. However, if it was back to normal, there is a lot of traffic. There's huge benches making social distancing easy to comply with. The city does a pretty good job of keeping up with the trash and trying to keep the homeless from posting up here. There is a few places to eat nearby and a couple hotels. Not a bad spot if you'd like to just sit down and relax."
"Park has had a few upgrades over the recent years and is really nice. If the city could do something to address the homeless in the area I'd spend more time here, as it is the panhandlers can be aggressive. This is why I carry a sailors emergency boat whistle and make, being told to for over $5 buck or else is kinda a turn off."
