Red Roof Inn Fairmont 42 Spencer Drive, White Hall, WV 26554

"It smelled horrible like musty socks and mildew, it was too hot but the air conditioner was full of dust and mold so I didn't want to turn it on and get sick. Supposed to be non smoking but there was a cigarette burn on the night stand.The bathroom toilet ran and made noise all night long. The shower didn't drain nor did the sink. The room itself was not very clean that was evident from the smell walking in. The beds were super uncomfortable. My big complaint was hotel staff entering my room with no notice supposedly to clean room and bring in fresh towels but clearly that wasn't done. I honestly would never stay here again. I've stayed at numerous red roof inns and have never been so disappointed. I have never had hotel staff enter my room at all for no reason whatsoever without permission!!!"

"We have stayed at Red Roof Inns the past couple of trips because our dogs can come without an extra charge. (That can get pretty costly)The rooms are a pretty good value, ours was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was there were people staying on the bottom level that did not have their dogs on leashes and I had to immediately divert my dogs around the building and back to the room, they were not friendly either. I realize that's not the hotel's responsibility, but something to be aware of."

"Ok, I first reviewed this place during my first stay and since have spent several more days here due to work. I'm increasing everything to 5 stars because this place is perfect for what I need it for. Can't really beat a less than 5 minute drive to work! I work off hours and the staff is always helpful in meeting my needs. Angie, at the front desk, is an absolute pleasure to deal with when I need to extend/check-in/check-out. Sydney is always on top of things when I need something for my room. All in all, I'm glad I chose to give this place a try!! Looking forward to my future stays here."

"We booked our room online on their website and didn't have any problems getting our room when we arrived. Kay was at the front desk and was helpful, kind, and very friendly. Our room was nice, but it did have a faint smoke smell and it could have been cleaned a little better in certain areas. Overall, we were very happy to have a place for our family to get a good night's rest."

"Pleasantly surprised. We were looking for lodging overnight in the area for a family reunion, and I was not wanting to spend $$$ on a room that we would literally only be sleeping in. I thought I would go "cheapest" hotel in the area, but after reading multiple negative reviews of the 2 slightly cheaper hotels and then positive reviews about this particular Red Roof Inn, we booked it. The room was quaint (small), but very clean and had everything we needed. Perfect for our needs at a very reasonable price. We go to the reunion every year and in the past have stayed with family, but I think this will be our new annual stay."
