"After calling multiple service centers to be told they were closed or closing, we found Davis and arrived with 15 minutes to spare on a Saturday afternoon. We were driving from Mississippi to West Virginia with three children. They saved our vacation and fixed our car. Lenny, JJ and Austin were so kind and helpful. Austin took us to a restaurant to wait for a family member to retrieve us and Lenny met us back at the shop to get all our stuff so we could leave the car in their capable hands and continue our trip. Thank you so very much! This experience was such a reminder of why we need local businesses! All the corporate places (including car rental) were already closed for the weekend."

"It seems these guys just want to help out when ever they can. I decided to post a review for the work done by the Davis crew, when I see that they have quite a history of doing the exact same thing for others. While on a road trip from Ohio to Florida, my Wrangler developed a rattle that just wasn’t right. The guys got me in as quickly as possible and they all put their heads together. They had the problem identified and solved in what I considered immediate. With my intuition to stop and their quick diagnosis, they saved my family and I from a catastrophic failure that would’ve ended our trip before it even started. We were back on the road with restored confidence in both my Jeep and humanity in what seemed like a heartbeat. They were very fair on price, and more than accommodating when there were plenty of vehicles ahead of mine. My family and I will never forget this crew and the work they do."

"Good people. I haven't gotten them to service a vehicle yet, but I already like the way they do business. My son and girlfriend were on a road trip from VA to Ohio when our car catastrophically broke down. My son called all over to shops in town to see who could look at this and see if he could get back on the road. Everyone was busy, including Davis, but they told him they'd get him in in 2 hours. Checked it out, didn't try to do a bunch of work and take advantage of a kid who wouldn't have known the difference. Told him it was fried, let him hang out there a bit until we made a plan. I got there a few hours later, they treated me like a repeat customer. They also have let me keep it there for a bit while I make arrangements for the car instead of insisting I get it somewhere else, which would involve expense, towing, etc. If I lived in Beckley, I would absolutely be a customer here. In fact, I'm buying a replacement in the area, and am planning to make an appointment with them to check it out once I do. I believe you need people to work on your vehicle that you can trust and that seem like humans, not just drones who repeat scripts from a book. I look for that when I try to find mechanics. After being treated like this and reading the reviews of their great service, I would absolutely recommend this shop. Many thanks to Lenny, Jessica and crew!"

"Holds your car hostage to shake you down for all you've got! Had a broken heater. They kept it a week, and said it was a resistor. When i came to pick it up said that it still didn't work, but that they did change the resistor. Could not produce the part they replaced when asked. Insisted then it was electrical in nature. They told me it would total around $150, I said "it's an old car, if it's any more keep me in the loop it will not be worth it". They call me a few days later saying it's"fixed". They demonstrated their definition of fixed, which meant that a crude toggle switch attached to exposed wires now dangled from the busted passenger-side dash. It came to over $300. For a heater in a 2002 model vehicle. They would not give me my car until I payed."

"Great people and service! I showed up at 8 am on a saturday traveling thru. Jess and Austin the mechanic were all happy to see me. Didn't try to over sell me quite the opposite. I even told them to charge me more than they were going to and had them do an oil change to make extra money. Highly recommend!!"
