"My recent experience with BesTitle during the closing process was far from satisfactory, leaving me with a sense of frustration and disappointment. I found myself compelled to use BesTitle simply because they were the designated title company chosen by the bank handling my mortgage, and unfortunately, they were one of the limited options available in the area. One of the most glaring issues throughout the closing process was the apparent lack of communication and transparency on the part of BesTitle. Despite expressing my concerns and complaints to them about the way they prioritized relaying important information to my real estate agent and financial institution before informing me, the problem persisted. This lack of direct communication added unnecessary layers of complexity to an already intricate process. An alarming incident unfolded when BesTitle revealed the presence of a lien on the property just one day before the scheduled closing, resulting in a substantial delay in the finalization of my home purchase and nearly prompting me to reconsider my offer entirely. The sudden disclosure was both unexpected and suspicious, particularly in light of BesTitle's earlier claim on their website that the title search had been completed weeks prior. It was only after I communicated my decision not to purchase title insurance through them, given their responsibility for any undisclosed liens during closing, that they belatedly shared this crucial information with me. This inconsistency in their reporting is deeply disconcerting and significantly added to the overall stress of the closing process. Adding to the concerns is BesTitle's apparent high employee turnover and constant job postings on various platforms. This revolving door of staff members can potentially result in a lack of thorough experience in real estate law and financial documents, further jeopardizing the integrity of the closing process. In light of these issues, I strongly advise anyone going through a real estate transaction to consider alternative title companies if possible. My closing process, which should have been a milestone moment, turned into one of the most stressful experiences I have ever endured, and BesTitle played a significant role in exacerbating the difficulties. The lack of communication, transparency, and the suspicious handling of critical information were major contributors to the overall negative impression left by BesTitle."
"Have used BesTitle Agency on multiple occasions. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for any Title or Closing related work. VERY easy to work with and nice, friendly employees!"
"We did an out of town signing mid-Feb for a home we sold in the Ashland area, when we received the check it was almost $700 less than the paperwork we signed with the notary. Not once were we contacted via email (which is how we had been communicating) concerning the change, yet they claim they knew the day of our closing - and we even spoke with them DURING the closing and still no mention? Worse yet, they even confirmed the amount shown was the amount of the check we would be mailed. Over a month later and we are still awaiting answers, documentation of changes and the rest of our money. Beware when using the Ashland branch...BesTitle needs to consider a name change and a review of their business practices. ***UPDATE**** After reaching out to the COO of the company (over a month after closing) our questions were answered and issues resolved. While I would not recommend the Ashland branch, I would say once we reached people who would listen and answer our questions the experience became much better. Thank you Tim for the assistance!"
"The day we signed for our house the notary and we were so stressed out at how many mistakes were made by best title in the paperwork. They put someones name on the house who was not even supposed to be on the house. The person literally signed off on all rights to the house and so we thought we were good. 2 months later we add 2 names to the house and pay them $200 to do it We go in to sign and the person who signed their rights away on the house was ON the deed of conveyance still! I lost it. These kind of mistakes are not ok. They apologized fixed that mistake and 2 other clerical errors and we signed. Well today the other party who signed off all rights to the house calls me because best title employees are calling her relentlessly, telling her that her name is on the house and to get it off, she has to fill out a paper, get it notarized and come out of pocket $150. WHAT!!!! We have the deed. Her names not even on it. What is wrong with this company! These are legal, notarized documents affecting peoples lives. Not a lunch order. Geeeesh!!"
"Absolutely the worse closing business in Ashland Ky. When you call numerous times a day and leave messages for a return call day after day, 2 weeks in a row then you have a Bad business. It’s rude, unprofessional and unacceptable. On week 7 of trying to close with this bunch, we are not at all happy, hope we never have to experience another closing with Bestitle."
