"We toured Adaland Mansion December 2018 and again each December thereafter. The visits are nothing short of fabulous. The Christmas decorations are incredible, the tour more than interesting and the staff beyond excellent. I grew up in Philippi at a time when the mansion was actually family-occupied. We used to sneak a swim and fish in the Adaland pond on occasion, hoping we would not get caught. I had no idea how the house had deteriorated over the years which makes me even more appreciative of the renovation and restoration that’s been accomplished. Adaland is a must see experience, especially during Christmas. We’ll return again for one of their special events; it’s a place you cannot visit just once. "Went for a wedding. Was a strange space with stuff happening inside then out. Not ane one space could house the a wedding this size. Wouldn't receive it."
"The mansion was beautiful and the luncheon was beautifully set and food was delicious. The tour was amazing and very informative. An hours trip from Morgantown but so worth the historical visit."
"We attended their Christmas buffet. Our servers were charming volunteers. The food was delicious. There was ample seating and parking for everyone. A huge number of different desserts. The mansion was immaculate. So many ornate decorations and displays. They let us take our time. Can't say enough good things. Highest of recommendations. Try it once and you will have a new family tradition."
"Wonderful tour and awesome tour guide! Our guide, Jeannie M., really knows her subject. This was the first time that we heard about a traveler's room where anyone too tired or lost could stay free for the night with dinner and breakfast. Jeannie was an experienced guide telling us only what added to the history and interest of the mansion. She was animated and loved what she is doing. Thank you!"
