"Growing up playing sports and continuing to stay active, I’ve acquired many injuries over the years from a torn shoulder, a wrist injury and an ankle injury that all required surgery. Currently I’ve been dealing with plantar fasciitis in my right foot that’s been lingering for awhile. Recovery has always been very important to me from physical therapy, to icing, to whatever aid I could find to help my body and injuries continue to heal to be at my strongest, and avoid any further injuries if I could help it. Hearing about the health benefits of cryotherapy and that the owner Kaleigh Allen was bringing a chamber to Aiken, I couldn’t wait to get in and try a new recovery tool! Since it’s opening in January, I’ve tried to get at least two sessions in per week to see if it would really help the healing process with my foot. After the first few sessions of cryo, I started noticing I was getting much better sleep, along with my energy levels increasing significantly. Then I really started feeling the benefits for my foot, feeling the best it has in over a year. I could barely put my weight on it at times and for the past few months I’ve had no restrictions with it. Small aches, tenderness, soreness, which linger in my old injuries, seem to immediately be reduced after a session of cryotherapy. Also it’s a pretty simple, very convenient, 3 minute process with an amazing staff to educate you all about what cryotherapy can do for you and help get you right! As an athlete, I heavily believe in all the health benefits cryotherapy has to offer and will continue to use it as avidly as I have been!"
