Tropical Grille Verdae

"The saltiest food I've ever had. My husband called it "an alternative to health" - a contradiction to their slogan. I was surprised that I didn't see a slew of other reviewers mentioning this, so perhaps it was a bad night for them? I'm not sure... I ordered the salmon bowl which came with a very dried out piece of salmon, some mixed vegetables, rice, and a small piece of pita bread. Absolutely everything had a significant amount of salt. We also ordered a burger with fries which was also very salty and the fries were visibly *covered* in salt. We were dumbfounded after specifically choosing the restaurant as a healthier option compared to going through a fast food drive-thru. I was disappointed enough after two bites of my meal that I did request a refund for the salmon bowl and the staff easily provided one - and did agree that the food was pretty salty. My husband made it through about half of his burger and none of his fries and quit. We ended up leaving and paying for dinner elsewhere. The place sounds appealing but it seems more like a good idea with poor execution."

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tropical Grille on Verdae Boulevard in Greenville, and I was blown away by the food, the service, and the overall experience. I was particularly impressed by my waitress, Sophia, who was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Sophia took the time to recommend dishes that she thought I would enjoy, and she was right on the money. I started with the jerk chicken wings, which were perfectly cooked and had a delicious, flavorful marinade. For my main course, I had the grilled salmon, which was moist and flaky, and it came with a delicious side of roasted vegetables. I finished my meal with the chocolate lava cake, which was rich and decadent. In addition to the great food, Sophia also provided excellent service. She was always attentive and made sure that my water glass was full. She also took the time to answer my questions about the menu and the restaurant. I felt like she really cared about making sure that I had a good experience. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Tropical Grille, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in Greenville. I would also specifically ask for Sophia as your waitress, because she is truly exceptional. I would definitely go back to Tropical Grille again, and I would specifically ask for Sophia as my waitress. She is a gem, and she really makes the experience special!"

"THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Tropical Grille might just have some of the best smash burgers in town. Yes, not your 'healthy alternative', but RUN here to get their 'special' smash burgers and you will not be disappointed. They are thicc, juicy, and only $8.99 for a double. Pair with their delicious beer batter style fries or thick Yuka fries. They also have empanadas now! We will be coming back again soon. I hope the keep serving these amazing specials."

"Tbh, never actually been in a trop grille but I've always had their catering. These mogs run a really clean shift though. The store is kept clean and it have large glass panels for plenty of natural light. They have a pretty strong service size - quality - cost ratio. I suggest getting the family of 4 meal. We have four grown adult men get it and everyone was left satisfied. They're on time with your catering and takeout orders and they'll run you in and out real quick, even in peak lunch time."

"This place was a random stop without searching, and it turned out to be amazing. Passed by this place on the way to work and kept it in rhe back of my head. On the way back from work I couldnt help it and pulled in. Lol had the smash burger and the cuban pork bbq sandwich both with fries. Both were excellent, the pulled pork was really flavorful and the onion and bbq sauce tied it all together. For not being a bbq joint this sandwhich produces like a highly rated bbq spot! The burger was the absolute highlight of the meal we devoured it without even talking, just nodding at each other, saying, without saying, that it was incredible! The fries that came with it were also very very good. After clearing our throats and being able to talk, we both agreed that it was one of the best burgers we have had, and that a big part of the reason is they know how to properly season every thing! Evenly seasoned. Well seasoned. Pure juicy flavor! They have a cool upstairs seating area so there is plenty of space for everyone when this place is packed. A couple of small gripes, i asked the cashier what was the go to items, what does eveyone usually get? The young kid looked at me blank and then said very unsure of himself, i dont know? Ok fair enough. Needs a little work on the customer service side, glad hes working and doing his part, but management this young man needs some training. The lady standing behind him just stood there blank as well with no response. My second gripe was that the food was soo good we decided to ordee thier chicken sandwhich, we got it breaded and spicy hot. This hot sauce was not good. I understand this place is "tropical" but that hot sauce on the sandwhich was terrible. After having such amazing food and then being blown away by the awful flavor of the hot sauce really took me by surprise. I will still give this place 5 stars as the burger was on another level and the fries and pork sandwich were excellent as well."
