"Mrs. Mae at the front desk was warm and welcoming as soon as my daughter and I walked through the door and signed in. Very caring and compassionate. Mae made sure my daughter was comfortable and offered a snack and water to her. Kelly did my daughters ultrasound and she was more than wonderful. Dr. Leaphart came in to discuss the ultrasound and she was very informative and explained everything I'm a compassionate manner. My daughter and I are more than pleased."
"Absolutely wonderful experience. Mae greeted me at the front desk and was so friendly and welcoming. She helped me with paperwork and made sure everything was accurate. I had a very short wait time (although I knew to allow extra in case other expecting mothers were ahead of me). Katie was training and performed by initial ultrasound- she was very professional and explained what images she was taking along the way. Sandy came in afterward to collect the images that were still needed. She was so thorough and patient when the baby’s position was difficult. I never felt rushed and appreciated their diligence in scanning our wiggly baby. I think patients should appreciate the expert specialized care that we are lucky enough to have in our area. Thank you Savannah Perinatology for treating us with such care this morning."
"I am currently in the middle of a high-risk twin pregnancy. My first daughter was stillborn and I have had intensive monitoring during the course of this pregnancy. The wait time has varied from being each time I have gone. They see a lot of patients and waiting room is usually quite crowded. Front desk staff has been nothing short of professional and nice. Have had no issues with them whatsoever. I have also enjoyed all of the ultrasound technicians I have seen and have found them all to be very empathetic and pay extremely close attention to details during ultrasounds. They have answered every question that my husband and I have had. Dr. Reddick is the Dr assigned to my case and has been the only Dr. I have seen. She also answers all of the answers we have and has been very kind every time. As for the no children policy I can see the frustration it could cause but the policies of this office are very clearly outlined from the appointment reminders from the front desk, to the door, to the website. Not only is the waiting room extremely crowded as is, the exam rooms do not allow for any extra people as well. Not to mention most of the mothers in the office are there for very sensitive issues, which while I understand is nobody else's problem, empathy goes along way. Almost every time I go someone tries to bring in an extra support person and tries to argue about why they should be the exception to this very clearly stated policy. In most of the rooms three people (including ultrasound tech) barely fit--much less four! If you are there for NSTS there is definitely no room for extra people. To summarize: follow the policies, book a babysitter, clear your schedule, and be empathetic and nothing about this office should get under your skin."
"Yes the wait was a bit long but due to the nature of their facility its understandable. They have to get specific images during ultra sounds for certain tests; this, along with the baby not wanting to rollover or turn can make the ultra sound take longer than expected. This was my case. As far as not allowing children in the back rooms, I completely understand their reasoning; the rooms are small, full of expensive equipment and often they have situations where upsetting things can happen. Upsetting as in birth defects and other high risk problems which can cause emotional upset. The staff was very welcoming and friendly; I loved how efficient the nurse was who took my blood today, we had a great laugh."
"Had a great experience with my wife at Savannah Perinatology. The wait times were long but the staff were nice and very apologetic. Apparently they don't turn anyone away and see people from all over GA since they're specialists. They don't allow kids in the office. We asked why and they explained that not only are the exam rooms kinda small (which yeah they really are), but also that many people come to the office and don't get good news and that can be very hard to handle with a kid in the room. I never even thought of something like that before...Thank GOD we have healthy kids! We saw the same doctor almost every time. We requested to be scheduled with her when she was on and they were pretty accomodating at making that work. The docs are brilliant and they spent a lot of time answering our questions since this pregnancy was so different than the last one. They took excellent care of my wife and helped us get our baby here safely and we couldn't ask for anything more than that."
