"Starting to get help can be enormously difficult, take months, years, and for some never takes place. Initial assessments involve paperwork and waiting. Today, the counselor met with a CHALLENGING friend, I had proper release completed to get a bit of information. I was impressed with my brave friend's honesty and patience that DEPENDED on getting a knowledgable, non-judgmental, compassionate counselor. I have 40 years of professional experience and know for a good professional, you often have to experience some less-than-good. The pay here needs to increase because the experience today was critical, valuable, and much appreciated."

"This place is trash. I called there to let them know that one of their clients needed help .I saw him on the streets and he hadn't been on his medication in a while. The woman that I spoke to said " if he's a client he knows where we are ". She offered no resources or suggestions. She was real short with me like I was a bother to her."

"I was told to be there a 8am. I was there 10 minutes till 8 after working a 10 hour shift. Signed in as #3. Was not called back until 12 then finally leaving at 2:45 only to return back to work that night for another 10 hours on 4 hours of sleep all the while dozing in and out while I was waiting to be called back for my assessment. The lady was very nice. Maybe an extra person to do assessments would be useful. Some people have to do what they have to do but 4 hours of sleep in 24 hours is a little much."
