"This is just from my only interaction with Dr. Brown Price. As she was not my OBGYN during my pregnancy. She was the doctor who helped deliver my baby girl via VBAC. She was wonderful to work with. She respected and allowed me to labor on my own in my room by walking around. She would drop in to just make sure I was okay and at one point, while dealing with a contraction she embraced me and allowed me to lean on her. She encouraged me to just breathe through it and relax my body. I say all of this to say that she was amazing. She came in right on time to deliver my baby. She was enthusiastic and motivated me during delivery! Made the experience that much sweeter."
"Very Professional, ensured all my concerns were answered, and instructions on how I could reach them if needed. Very thorough with assessment and treated in a manner one hopes to be treated in. Highly recommend .."
"During my last pregnancy , Dr. Brown Price was my main OBGYN at Lexington Women’s care, this was my first OB care within Lexington County and I noticed that this office ran things much like an assembly line with little detailed time spent with myself as a patient however the true concern I had was the neglect of duty with DR. Brown Price. I myself am in the health field but I do not speak of this to my provider I like to see the natural care that I will receive, I was in my 30s at the time of this fourth pregnancy, I had lost my third pregnancy less than a year prior at 15 weeks with noted elevated BP. At the end of my second trimester with this pregnancy that I was seeing Dr. Brown Price for, I was having the same issues , dizziness, blurred visions, constant headaches, high blood pressure. I’m usually a healthy person except during the last two pregnancies. I continued to explain my concerns with each visit and that I was coming more concerned given my job functions of being on my feet 12-13 hours consistently with no breaks. She always blew my concerns off she herself was pregnant at the time and constantly compared her pregnancy to mine (I’m writing this now because I’m pregnant again and with this same office and staring to notice neglect yet again) I continued to have worsening health and would forget words and couldn’t not complete daily activities. Brown-Price always measured the growth of my child by measuring my stomach only!! There were very little ultrasounds , in to my third trimester I had only had two ultrasounds. She assured me that my baby was growing fine because my stomach was measuring as should ; I was extremely swollen with edema is what I was ! At the 8 month mark I had had it and spoke up more directly with Dr. Brown price who scoffed compared her very first pregnancy that she was in to mine telling me to “just take time at work to kick my feet up “ although I explained my job does not operate this way, she did not listen So the next day at my job I was near syncope and extremely swollen, my Sgt. whom was my partner sent me to the hospital, I went straight to the MAC unit at Lexington ER and expected to be treated the same however immediately the nurse looked at me , without me giving any symptoms of complaint yet, asked if I could see or was I having blurred vision? This was just by her initial onset and of my appearance; I said yes, I have had this for well over a month consistently now. She turned off the lights assessed my vitals, no surprise my BP was through the roof. I also had protein in my Urine and I was noted to have edema everywhere. The nurse asked whom my provider was , I told them, they were not surprised and visibly upset, pulled my records . I had had protein in my urine at every visit with Lexington women’s care since the second trimester with an elevated blood pressure and I had not even been told my vitals were off much less protein in my urine! In addition to all the symptoms I continued to explain to Dr. Brown Price, I clearly had pre-eclampsia was never diagnosed or even spoken to about all the findings within the office. Oh! and the measuring of my stomach to calculate baby’s growth! Well at the MAC unit they ran an ultra sound to measure growth since that had not been done in 4 months , my child Had stopped growing and was over a month behind in growth. Due to all the constriction of my vascular system he was not getting enough blood supply. I was administered steroid shots at the MAC unit to insure lung development. My baby weighed exactly 6 LBs at birth at 40 weeks! I never went past 37 weeks with my last two live pregnancies and both children weighed 8lb. if I would have not went to the MaC unit and continued to follow Sr. Brown Price I would have most likely lost my child . I’m now being seen at Lexington Women’s care with my last child , I have mostly seen NPs who are much better than my last experience however I did go in with BP 160 systolic at 17 weeks and a Irvine sample was not even taken, I plan to speak up at the next visit in hopes for a different"
