"They have reopened under new management!!! The ladies there are awesome. Ms Yvonne the director is so sweet. Very compassionate and caring with the children. I have a 3 yr older that was 2 when he started very shy and scared after a bad experience with another facility. He has been doing awesome. The teacher and team there care for those children like their own! If you’re in and around the area you should enroll your child here!"
"I am an auntie of children that have attended this daycare. We have had nothing but issues with Irmo Academy. Teachers threatening to "introduce them to Jesus" and forcing political and personal idealogies on the kids. PG-13 movies were shown to children as little as 5 years old without parental consent. Children that had food sensitivities would just not be fed if they had nothing safe for that child without contacting a parent or Guardian. Children were being left without an adult in the room for an extended amount of time and no accountability. Also, if you try to call them out on their behavior and issues as adults, they ignore you, remove all methods the kids have to contact parents or guardians and then they will simply kick the kids out of the daycare. Never again. No parents should feel safe leaving their kids at this location."
"I personally have no problems with Irmo they accommodated every parent in all situations .A daycare is supposed too be structured has well as having a educational component .5”Thr teachers and staff give a 200% to their duties everything don’t always smell like peaches n roses but they make sure it does. Be thankful you have a staff that encourage and support and love your kids when they entered. In other words the rude comments need too cease stop placing judgement when you never walked in anyone shoes!"
"My son is slow to trust new people, but he talks about his teacher (Mrs. "CoCo") like she is his best friend. They are very communicative, kind, and clearly have a heart for children. Mrs. CoCo and Jennifer are clearly very active with the kids and it shows. I am SO glad I went with this daycare- they have been so good to my baby boy and I know I can trust them to act in his best interest while I am at work."
"Terrible. The rooms are empty, what little toys they have are outdated and far too sparse for 16 kids per room to use, they don't keep it clean, the septic tank needs replaced and keeps flooding the building but the owner is too cheap to replace it, I've seen far too many dead cockroaches, the home office never answers nor do they have an answering machine to leave a message. Send your child anywhere but here."
