"I posted my review before and it magically disappeared! Living in this complex has been the worst experience of my life!! Soon as I got here I was exposed to mold and it has been a on going issue. I have just been getting sicker and sicker as the months go on. The current property manager is incompetent!!!! Everything that has been done to try to fix the issue has only been done halfway so the mold returns. I would never recommend this complex to any soul, ever! Although they have tried to fix the issue to THEIR BEST ABILITY they just don’t know what they are doing. Which included spraying the first unit down and trying to scrape the mold off as well as spraying the wall off to clean the mold off and then last, once the mold grew back spray painted over the mold. The pictures are from oldest to newest. They finally opened the wall and still did not gut everything, left the dirty rotten moldy installation in and covered it back up with a piece of sheet rock. Our apartment smells disgusting! It smells like straight up earthy dirt. I would suggest if you live in these apartments you check your hvac closet for mold unless you get lucky and move into one of the new buildings which are over $1,000 a month. This complex is cheap and will take the cheapest route every time instead of doing things properly. Every time my review is deleted I will just keep reposting because this is what my experience has been since living here."
"Maintenance isn’t good at all & they never answer the phone! My ceiling in my bathroom is leaking, the kitchen sink is leaking mold growing kitchen wiring is bad had and maintenance request in for 4 months!"
"Bathroom ceiling has been flowing with water and I’ve been putting in maintenance request since July (they did not fix it until October). I was told over and over “there are no pipes above me so they don’t know where it’s coming from” they got someone to come but did not tell him it was water damage but to just scrape the popcorn off and replace. When he did he noticed the moldy water damaged ceiling he had to cut it away to replace it and in the process I was able to see that there are rusted pipes above me. Very unprofessional, they will lie and take months to fix major unsanitary issues. This is apartment A4"
"I stayed at Crosshill for almost 4 years. PROS: Overall the apartments are decent espcially for the price, there are some areas that are rough around the edges (the trim or paint in some areas) but overall the apartments are a good size and come with decent appliances. The community is mostly quiet and laid back, albeit in my time a neighbors car was broken into and a few tenants that were constantly arguing and having CPD at the door. The complex is within walking distance of Food Lion, the Crosshill shopping center, Midlands Tech, and Moctezumas Taqueria (A fairly popular Mexican resturant). The leasing office ocasionally does small events and hands out CFA sandiches etc. CONS: Some of the units do not come with washer and dryer and the ones that are located in the leasing building of the complex would often break, flood, and be difficult to take payment. (Luckily there is a laundromat right up the street, but still) Additionally the walls and celings are fairly thin, I could hear neighbors on the stairs as well as outside many times. The trash sometimes gets delayed in being taken (the dumpsters are on the side of the road that runs in and out of the complex so this becomes an eysore and stinks). Management (as in the workers not the company) change fairly regularly, they can be very hit or miss depending on who they hire for that period of time, especially with regards to maintence. Another thing of note is that they were a bit slow to get the security deposit back and it took several calls and emails to get it back."
"Apartments are livable . I had issues moving in the beginning and was inconvenienced since the one I originally wanted had damages and issues although it was renovated . Also had issues with moving in to the other apartment they reassigned me to with the locks not working. But they fixed it immediately which is fine they have great maintenance unless it’s been changed since. They were able to relocate me which is fine but still wasn’t clean or ready for move in. I had to deep clean everything myself since the cleaning people didn’t come . They will charge you for pest control but haven’t seen anyone come for the month of October like scheduled and will charge you for having washer and drying hook ups even if you don’t use it and they having a laundry facility on site. The dishwasher was new but had issues with it so couldn’t use it but I don’t use it anyways but it’s inconvenient since it doesn’t open all the way since the fridge is in the way. I guess there’s new management and without introducing herself properly, she rudely told my child’s father to not park in the grass but we were unaware of new management and if she would introduce herself it would’ve been received better. I gave her a call and she was nice and understanding so that’s fine. Although the doors of my specific apartment building is weird and on the backside so its a far walk and everyone in my building parks in the grass because we walk so far and it’s dangerous at night with bats especially with our children! It’s a safety hazard for sure but they are concerned about parking in grass. We respect that but still need to put some lights back here for residents to walk safely at night. Also noticed a lot of suspicious drug addicts around walking in the parking lot at night. That needs to be handled I do not feel safe parking in our parking lot. And so do many of the residents of building Q. Update: The walls are very thin. I hear very loud music and children with my neighbor beside me and my neighbor below me. I personally do not have an issue since I understand kids are kids and we are humans. In addition, I fell down the stairs not too long ago early morning , luckily I was not hurt. Need to work on having lights in the back of building Q. The paint on the wall is cheap, I can’t even clean my walls properly without paint coming off smh but they’ll probably charge you for that !"
