"Moved in August 1, it is now almost January 1 and I still have no AC or heat in my bedroom. Repeatedly tried to get this problem fixed, but maintenance will not fix it. they have stopped coming when I file maintenance requests. also signed my lease early for a pool view and was placed in a unit that day because I was a resigner, found out day of move-in that they switched my room and now i have a view of the parking lot - cockroach infestation - rude office workers - horrible maintenance - stolen packages + office does nothing to help - do not provide promised amenities (originally signed with the promise of a yoga studio being built, never happened)"
"wish I could give this place 0 stars. The front office does not listen to your concerns and seem unbothered by anything you bring up. They don’t check their rent box. They don’t check their voicemail messages. The people that are supposed to fix your problems couldn’t care less, and that in itself is so frustrating. There is constant garbage EVERYWHERE outside of the dumpsters due to raccoons getting into the trash. Instead of cleaning this up, they just let it sit there. This is not only disgusting, but embarrassing for the residents. They have added a door side valet trash service to pick your trash up, possibly to combat this issue, but at a charge that wasn’t agreed upon prior to signing your lease (about $48). My hot water has stopped working at times, with no urgency to fix this from maintenance. There is a constant beeping sound in the hallway, which I called about, just to be dismissed. This was never “fixed” like they said it would be. I feel terrible for residents who lived on the first floor, who listened to this 24 hours a day for who knows who long. Constant beeping in the study room, the printer being out of ink for months. So what’s the point of paying all this money for “amenities?” The elevators haven’t worked all year, which they waited about 2 months to fix. A ridiculous “top floor view” charge of the parking lot, which is an inconvenience without an elevator. The parking lot is not a “view.” The Wi-Fi is CONSTANTLY out with no remorse from anybody who works with Greene Crossing. The bath and sinks don’t drain. Maintenance charges a fee to fix things, and in Annex, everything is always broken or having issues. Stairwell doors are often broken, making it a very unsafe environment, with outside people having access inside our building. My last straw was on finals week, having construction outside of my window all day, with banging sounds literally right outside of my room. Screeching sounds of a drill, yelling from the workers, and non stop beeping from a crane-like machine. I should be able to study in peace in my room, especially on a week this important. I am so disappointed in Greene Crossing as a whole, please don’t consider signing a lease or giving this place any more money than I’ve already wasted on it."
"Please read this!! I have lived here at GC for 3-4 months now and I love the actual apartment. It is clean, has a nice layout, and is a good distance from Darla Moore. However, if you have any need for internet whatsoever (which I am assuming you do considering most residents are college students), a majority of my time spent here has been internet-less. The wifi is constantly down for days-weeks at a time, and even shows to be useless even when “working”. When myself and other residents have issues, we are directed to an outside internet provider, which usually tells us that there is nothing they can do or that they’ll fix it themselves at some point (usually takes days). Issues like these are usually building-based, and I live at the Flats building, which is notorious for outages. On top of the lack of wifi, the elevator is temperamental and has periods of not working, the fobs for the doors seem to work only half the time, and the parking lot (which I pay for) is always filled with cars belonging to non-residents that should be towed away (but we as residents don’t have the ability to call the towing company, only the CLOSED office does). Although I knew any college apartment would have its issues, some of these (especially the wifi) have proven to hinder my schoolwork and social-life. Please read this message and consider if these issues would impact your life negatively like it has for mine."
"I wanted to specifically highlight the management at green crossing. This past week I walked into the office frustrated and asked to speak to a manager. Amanda, one of the new managers at green crossing was very kind and let me explain my frustrations. I explained how my car had been towed in the parking lot that I already pay monthly for, because I had parked on a curb since there are not enough parking spaces for their residents in the flats lot. I told her that I should not be responsible for paying the towing fee and would like to be reimbursed for that if they choose to tow my car with the correct parking pass on it rather than the nonresidents who park there. Amanda listened to me, was very professional, and provided a solution to fix the problem and come to a compromise on the reimbursement. Although I was frustrated, after I left my conversation with her, I knew I had to leave her a good review. Thank you Amanda for being professional, listening to your tenants, and providing a solution to the problem. We need more managers in the world like you!"
"This place is terrible! The Annex building, nothing works. Move in day, no air, dirty tub, missing light in the kitchen, but they did have the move in card present in the apartment as if it were ready! No air, ants in the entire apartment! We've put in several maintenance requests, but they act as if it's no big deal. The lack of communication from the maintenance is beyond me! They sprayed for the ants. However, with the 2 old school ac units that are still in the window, the ants will return due to the windows being open. They are very nonchalant about everything! At this point, I don't believe they will fix the air! Please do your research before moving in because once that lease is signed, you're stuck! The students who work in the office and who run the apartment complex try very hard, but they are truly overwhelmed!"
