"I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Covey Homes Greene, and I feel compelled to share my story to save others from going through a similar ordeal. My partner and I applied to live in this apartment complex on April 2nd, and from that point on, things quickly went downhill. Firstly, we tried to reach out to the management to verify the status of our application by calling them on April 3rd. However, despite numerous attempts, our calls were never answered. Hoping for a resolution, we decided to visit the complex three times during their business hours, only to find that no one was ever present. This lack of availability was incredibly unprofessional and raised serious concerns. I would also like to point out that they have several numbers listed. The number listed on their emails, website and business office do not match one another. We continued to call the complex over the next two months, but still was unable to get in touch with anyone. We made the difficult decision to file a chargeback to protect our rights as consumers. We made this chargeback on April 6th. On April 21st, I received an automated email stating that a chargeback had been filed stating my “balance has now fallen into default”. I responded to this email on April 23rd stating that this chargeback was made due to the lack of responses. I never received a response to this email. To our astonishment, instead of addressing our concerns or attempting to rectify the situation, the apartment complex sent us to collections over the matter. Despite our best efforts to reach out to them time and time again, we were met with complete silence. The one time I managed to speak with someone from the management, they displayed a shocking level of uncooperativeness. Not only were they unwilling to work with me, but they also refused to admit any wrongdoing on their part. She processed to lie, stating that she called my fiancé, ONCE. After verifying his phone records, this is fraudulent. They never contacted me. This lack of professionalism and accountability was truly disheartening. It seems they are more interested in exploiting potential tenants than providing a reliable and respectful service. It is essential to note that we will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and disputing the charges imposed by the collection’s agency. I strongly advise anyone considering applying to this apartment complex to think twice. The unresponsiveness, lack of professionalism, and apparent money-centric approach of the management make it clear that this is not a trustworthy establishment. Save yourself money, time, and frustration by looking elsewhere for a reliable and reputable place to live. Edit: After management responded to my review asking me to call I did. Of course they did not answer even though I called 10 minutes after they responded to my review. I left a voicemail asking them to call me back to get this issue resolved. 3 days later and I still haven't heard back from them. Edit 2: after 5 months, collections agreed that these charges were fraudulent! If you have received notice of collections from Covey, write a dispute and provide information of their lack of effort. Don't pay these people out of fear. They are fraudulent."
"Pure disappointment. Given incorrect information repeatedly which has literally ended up causing thousands of extra dollars. Good luck being able to speak to a knowledgeable employee in person. Even on days the office is supposed to be open, it's not. Multiple occasions when I went to the office because of a concern there was a sign posted saying the office was closed for training. It's almost impossible to speak to anyone by phone. The numbers posted are rarely answered. I called at least 20 times throughout different days of different weeks before a real person actually answered. Be cautious with the lease agreement. They say one thing and the contract says another. Save yourself the hassle and money and rent elsewhere."
"I absolutely loved living here. The townhouses are so beautiful and modern. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Amanda is an amazing prooerty manager. Whenever I had a maintenance issue, they always responded within 24 hours. This property is also conveniently located to everything."
"So far so good. I love the location as I can only walk places due to disability. The office has been friendly and professional. The home itself is an update with lots of lighting overhead. Last apartment expected you to use lamps."
"This is by far the worst place to live. My rent since day 1 has not been what i was quoted, different fees are added on to the monthly rent and some tenants have breed restricted dogs that are vicious in the dog park just to name a few examples. The office staff is unprofessional and may or may not reply to emails nor answer the phones. My family and I are very unhappy living here and no longer feel safe. I have had to call the cops on 2 separate occasions so this last time I decided this is enough. I told the staff that I want to break my lease and was told I had to give a 60 day notice and pay $7k. I asked for a copy of the document I signed stating I was aware of that and of course no reply. I am now having to seek legal assistance and go the CEO to break my lease. Some of the 5 star google reviews are from tenants and family that work in the office. Its my own fault because I saw all the negative reviews prior to moving in, if I had taken them seriously we would never have move here."
