My favorite part has been indulging in the custom process - I worked with Melissa to create this beautiful tourmaline ring that is different from any other ring I've seen. We worked together to pick the exact stones, design, metals, and band width. This was my first custom piece and I was nervous but need not have been! Melissa is also a joy to work with and her studio in Savannah is like a well-curated antique store - you really have to see it to believe it! "Delightful and fun experience! I came to Melissa with a unique center stone and a lot of different general ideas for my fiancée's engagement ring. I knew she wanted a colorful cluster ring, and I wanted to include some organic inspiration. Melissa helped me develop a more specific vision and included me in every step of her deliberative process. She let me play with her beautiful collection of stones to help come up with the pattern and size of stones that we liked, and then she sourced everything in the exact stone and color. Once we had the stones, she allowed me to play around with the layout to be sure it was exactly what I wanted. When that was completed, a CAD rendering was made to ensure the overall 3D look was right. From there, we had a 3D printed version that we could put the stones into! I had a ton of little changes at every stage, some of which was trying something, then deciding I didn't like it. Melissa was patient and wonderful throughout the process, and the final ring is so beautiful and unique! My fiancée loves it and is always getting asked where she got it. Highly recommend!!"

"I can not say enough about Melissa! I went to her to design an engagement ring. I had never dealt with fine jewelry previously, so there was a lot I didn’t know. What I did know is that I wanted a one-of-a-kind piece. I met with her bringing only ideas of stone type, metal color and setting type. Melissa talked me through each decision, such as karats and how that affects the color, band width (not the interwebs), and even thoughts on comfort that I hadn’t really considered.
