"Our family takes a trip just about once a month. We've never been to Charleston before and so this trip was new for us. While Charleston is an awesome town, there is not a lot to do for a little one....however, the water taxi was amazing! It's $14 per adult and a discounted rate for kiddos. That gets you an all day pass to take the water taxi. It runs from the main pier to the new African American Museum/Aquarium stop....then across the bay to the battleships...then to the marina...then back to the main pier. It is an hour long trip if you never get off. My daughter had never been on a boat before. We took the taxi three times in one day as a full ride just to be on the water. It cost around $40 for the three of us to be on a boat for three hours a piece. We saw dolphins in the wild and heard stories about the area and the battleships. It was the best thing we did in Charleston this weekend. Please do not miss this gem of what I would call, an event! The captions and first mates are amazing. However if you are riding the whole way, there can be a wait so don't harass the crew, it's not their fault and they will always get another boat going to accommodate the traffic! Please do this if you are in Charleston....it's the one thing in all our adventures I will now never miss out on!"

"This was awesome. Took the water taxi over to see the historic USS Yorktown and submarine. It truly was a fantastic experience. Beautiful and smooth ride over, not choppy at all. We explored the other side of the shore and came back on the return. There is parking structure just around the corner from boarding, and is located at the end of Market Street. The staff were fantastic, and very knowledgeable about the area and ensured the ride was fun and entertaining by making time for people to photograph and see the dolphins. A must do if in Charleston."
