"Hands down the best food ive had in my life. The husband-wife duo in the kitchen shows that love makes the best food. Theo and Michelle provided a great atmosphere. The bbq for 2 was more than enough. The acorn squash salad took me to another atmosphere and the cabbage salad kept me there."
"We were in Savannah for just one night and I’m so glad we found Dottie’s for dinner. Some of the best food I’ve had in a while—they should be winning awards for these dishes! And I loved that the atmosphere felt very local and homey—not over-fancy or kitschy. We started with a snacking board with delicious homemade bread and the best deviled eggs and pickles I’ve had in my life. For our meal, we got the pan seared market fish and the smoked eggplant. I appreciated that the Dottie’s menu had more interesting vegetarian options than many menus I browsed in the area. My partner loved the eggplant, and the fish was unreal—a fairly traditional preparation that they still somehow made fresh and oh so flavorful. I was nearly licking the plate at the end! The staff was also very friendly and gave us helpful suggestions for where else we should go while in town. I was sad we weren’t more hungry so we could try more on the menu, but I will absolutely be visiting Dottie’s anytime I’m in Savannah."
"I was very intrigued by this place one day when I was walking by and we finally got to go in and grab a last-minute snack before meeting some friends, and my goodness is this place cute and tasty! It's like a little general store with freshly made food, and let me tell you what every single person needs in their life... one of their Italian Beef sandwiches with Prime Rib. Good Lord. It was so good, I could have ordered a second! I honestly don't have enough words to describe how amazing this sandwich was... and the potato salad it comes with...Lord I could have eaten an entire tub of it!!!!! They only serve food between certain times, but don't skip out on this place!"
"I'm absolutely thrilled with my experience at Dottie's Cafe! Following several recommendations, my expectations were high, and this charming spot didn't just meet them – it surpassed them. The food here is beyond fresh and flavorful. I tried the cabbage coconut salad, and it was an amazing mix of flavors. It's evident that they use only high-quality ingredients, catering to both health-conscious and flavor-seeking diners. What really added to the charm was the staff – their sweetness and attentiveness made the experience even more delightful. Dottie's Cafe is a gem for anyone looking for a memorable breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Trust me, it’s a nice break from southern cuisine that offers a delicious and healthy meal!"
