"Dr Jamie is patient, kind, attentive, and an excellent intuitive listener. He responds to messages quickly. The website and patient portal are easy to navigate. The office is comfortable and classy, but somehow, a video chat is just as personal, too. I mean, that's what you look for in a therapist, right? But, he's a lot more than that. He is also structured and maintains a focus to move forward with his thought-provoking, non biased questions that are easy to consider and respond to because if they were delivered any more warmly they'd have to come with a plate of cookies. Dont get me wrong, he can ask some hard stuff, but the smile at the end says, "I'm on your team. We're all on your team. You've got this." And it's easy to believe him. I have definitely seen and experienced some light bulb moments as he guides conversation and discovery, leading to understanding and awareness. I don't think he could ever elicit anger or embarrassment in his client. He'll make you laugh at the irony of the conflict before he'll let you be angry. He'll show you the hurt behind the anger and promote healing. While he is a man with a solid plan and process, he is not inflexible by any means. Sessions are organic but not unorganized or unintentional. He prepares you for continuous forward movement, lighting the path one step at a time, but doesn't put a spotlight on those slips and stumbles that we all inevitably encounter in life. He looks for the harmony, often pointing it out if we don't recognize it. He builds from there. I feel like he is showing us that if we, as a couple, can stand here side-by-side and recognize that we support each other 'here', then we can each invite the other to stand beside us in the places that need healing too. I highly recommend Jamie Rice because he makes a Safe Space, where everybody has an equal voice that is heard, to observe and reflect on your relationship with yourself and others, to confront the hurts of the past and the fears of the future, take away their control, and make space for love...again."
