"I highly recommend JSA. From scheduling with the front office to the therapists, everything has been very smooth and professional. I specifically recommend Katie Haney. I have been seeing Katie for about 1 year. Talking to Katie feels like you are talking to an old friend. She is so patient, empathetic, and caring. She is very wise and a great listener. She is so encouraging and supportive. The world needs more Katies."
"I had a mixed experience when I was a patient at this location. I didn't really get the help I sought. The gal I was seeing was initially nice but not overly helpful, and she seemed more depressed than I was. She also had a strong dislike for Trump and conservatives in general, which she was quite vocal about. She mentioned that conservatives don't seek out counseling because they don't think they need it. Only liberals are open to it. I never admitted to her that I was actually a centrist that leaned conservative..haha, and I wasn't there to discuss politics, so I didn't touch it, and just let her sound off. I did, however, find her commentary unprofessional and inappropriate. I gave it a go anyway and attended several sessions. Towards the end of my relationship there I was late to a session due to a work commitment. I called to inform her ahead of time. When I arrived, I fully honored my financial obligation for the entire appointment, even though it was cut short. Well, she made it extremely clear that she was very unhappy about me being late and even suggested that maybe I should consider ending my treatment altogether. Her main concern seemed to be getting paid for the session that day. Which she did. I realized quickly that her main priority was money and not patient care. Needless to say, I never went back. Honestly, my situation never improved during the time I went to her. My suggestion to folks out there is that you must really research a therapist and practice to make sure it's a good fit before you invest your time in a relationship. Lesson learned for sure. And my response to the comment from Jill Smith is, I was most certainly a client there, for approximately one year. I made the choice not to disclose my full name for privacy purposes."
"Exceptional experience from the front desk, to my therapist! They were a tremendous help while going through cancer. I would certainly recommend them to anyone needing a professional therapist to talk to."
"I have been going to Jill Smith & Associates for several years now. I have had nothing but positive experiences ever since I started. From the front office staff, who is amazing, to my therapist, Terri Hallman, who is THE BEST in the business!! They are all willing to work with you in anyway they can to help in every situation that may come up. Terri has the best bedside manner and is extremely easy to talk to. I highly recommend both Jill Smith & Associates and Terri Hallman to anyone seeking counseling. They are the best of the best!!"
"We were seeking counseling for our son back in July. We went to the first appointment and the owner called us and switched therapist because she said there was a therapist who worked with kids with an IEP, which is fine. We went the second time with a different therapist and was informed they would call us to schedule another appointment. It is now the end of September, and we still haven’t heard from them. If they couldn’t help us, then we should have gotten a courtesy call saying this. Very disappointed since we saw they had great reviews!"
