Jack of Many Trades

"I took my lawnmower blades to be sharpened. Everyone else said 2 or 3 days. Jack of many trades sharpened them while I waited, and they were "very" sharp! I recommend them to anyone who needs lawnmower blades sharpened."

"I've used this place for gee - over 30 years now. It's where I go for parts to maintain my own lawn equipment AND they have a wide ranging inventory they've built up during the years. A good place for hard-to-find stuff AND buying used-refurbished 2nd hand lawn equipment. Wheelchair access to the office is available, and they've always been very helpful & got me what I wanted when I needed it. Since I do most my own work (Adv. Diesel/Gas Mech, 2&4 stroke, any fuel, LOL) - I haven't had too much experience with their repair system, but the few times I did (e.g. a tiller some decades ago) they did a good job. And sure, I COULD get lawn mower air filters, blades, & whatnot maybe a few bucks cheaper at the big box store, BUT I'd prefer to do business with "Jack" (his name ain't 'Jack', but he'll respond. ;-) ) - because I'm into supporting local businesses, especially this old favorite of mine. Plus - it's just a neat place (neat NOT as in "tidy") with a lot of interesting equipment laying around . . . some of it real interesting. To me, anyway. Great place, they "Git 'er done"with professional Southern courtesy, and so far haven't bitten off an arm or leg doing it as far as I'm concerned. :-D"

"Do NOT buy a thing from here. Bought a used riding lawnmower from them 2 months ago for $400. Used it once. Notice it was having trouble firing up. Took it back to them 2 weeks ago to figure out what the problem was. They tell me the carburetor was shot. They tell me they will fix it if under $300. That told me they will eat the cost because it was an issue before I bought it. I get the call today to pick it up. I rent a trailer and show up. They tell me they fixed it and I would have to pay $270. I said that's under $300. Why am I paying? They referred me to a sign IN THEIR GARAGE that read "Anything under $300 and they fix it. Over $300 and they will call". We went round and round and I told them what I took away from what he told me. He (the owner) told me I can either pay the money or leave it. I told him that I wanted my $400 back. He refused. He continued to threaten and get an attitude. Stay away. Go to a reputable place."
