"Dr. Forrester and staff are friendly and explain each step in the exam process and how much it would cost me. This is my eye doctor from now on! I have been a repeat customer for years since 2011 they are my go to for my eyes!"
"I wish I read the reviews for Dr. Forrester before I scheduled my appointment. It seems that I had the same experience many others did. The man I meet was rude, arrogant, and acted like it was a burden to see me. I made my eye appointment when I realized I was having trouble clearly seeing road signs and reading the board in my classrooms. It is worth noting that my left and right eye have different prescriptions and my right eye gets worse quicker the my left. With all other eye doctor appointments, the dr flipped through multiple lenses for each eye. Dr. Forrester only flipped to one lense while looking at both the left and right eye. This lense still wasn’t clear but it was better than my current prescription. He said that it was higher then what I came in with and that was what he was going to prescribe me. He told me that road signs may still be blurry and that I will have to give my eyes time to adjust to the prescription. I was looking for a prescription that would get me to 20/20 vision, not one that would over correct my eyes and ultimately make them worse. I would also like to note that my eyes where never dilated during the visit. After what felt like three minutes, the appointment was over and Dr. Forrester asked me if I had any questions. I was planning to order glasses online and asked him if he could measure my pupil distance so I would know what to order. He spent more time ranting and cussing about the online frames then he did looking at my eyes. He did not measure my pupil distance. Now, I will be suffering through my bad prescription until May when my insurance renews and I can been seen by a doctor who gives me the time to make sure the prescription is right. Lastly, the ladies working the front desk are extremely pleasant people."
"After reading other reviews, I feel like I must have seen a different doctor. The man who examined my eyes was rude, arrogant, and acted like I was an imposition and not a patient. It was obvious he did not want to be there. The examination was minimal & fast, and he seemed to get irritated when I asked any questions. I think he doesn’t like dealing with elderly people. I have no confidence that the prescription I received is accurate. Eyemart Express (in the same building) is fabulous. It’s a shame they have to be connected to Forrester’s practice. You should visit Eyemart Express for glasses , just don’t get your prescription from Dr. Van Forrester!"
"The front office staff is kind and considerate. The technologist is caring and thoughtful. Van Forrester earned the title “Doctor of Optometry” and was licensed to perform eye examinations to provide prescriptions but that is all that he earned and learned. It is quite obvious that his education did not include “how to speak to a patient.” I left the appointment feeling verbally attacked and treated very rudely. I spoke up that I was confused by his words “playing monkey” and that I did not understand what he was saying to me. I kindly asked if he could explain what he meant and he continued being rude and I felt frightened by what seemed to be an aggressive demeanor towards me. Van made no effort to redirect his demeanor nor to be kind to me-the customer- and I left there in tears. This was the most shocking Doctor’s appointment of any kind I have ever had. Perhaps he was having an extraordinarily bad day, I won’t chance a revisit to find out."
"Forrester Eye Associates is the BEST place to go for your eyes in this area!!!! My son has glasses TODAY because they are also one of the only eye doctors in this area that accepts Molina insurance!! The eye exam was very thorough and the doctor worked well with my son. All of the ladies up front and in the back were professional and helpful. After you pick out your frames, you will have a glasses in less than an hour!! I would definitely recommend Eye Mart/Forrester Eye to any and everyone!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!"
