"The resort was within walking distance of the beach and centrally located for most other park and shopping on the island. The 3 bedroom suite was well laid out, with minor issues that the slatted blinds meant earlier wake-ups, and lack of scissors and pizza cutter we found the kitchen was slightly incomplete."

"We like to travel a lot and swap through II. Stayed here and the room was nice. Seemed to have a lot of activities but required you to go to another resort a few miles away (did not like that). Unless you are here to play golf or be attacked by timeshare salesman, there isn't really a lot to do. We rented bikes but got stopped on every corner trying to get us to go to another timeshare preview. Seems to be the focus of the town. They were remodeling the room next to us so wasn't very quiet. Also in the mornings, lots of loud trucks going in and out. On our check out day, 2 housekeeping employees just walked in at separate times (between 8am and 8:30am). My wife caught them at the door as I was showering. Check out was at 10am. Based on the description and pictures of the facility, you are led to believe this is on the beach. There is one particular picture showing a bridge going to the beach with the facility pictures. The site is not on the beach or the "Waterside", it's actually about 6-8 blocks away. You can drive or ride a bike to the public beach area. The owner response - there is no mention of any shuttle nor did we see any shuttle. Every time we went to the information desk for info, the focus was "Did you get signed up for the owner and guest update?" Aka we want to sell you another timeshare. After the 3rd time, we just avoided guests services altogether. @Larry - they tried selling me a timeshare and promised me a lucrative golf package. You figure that one out."

"This was my wife's and my first time staying at Waterside. First impressions are everything, and they impressed me so much!!! This is a fantastic resort. Our condo was immaculate. They staff at the welcome center are very professional and accommodating and so warm and friendly. The resort is a literal 5 minute walk to the beach... And a 2 minute bike ride. They also have a shuttle/golf cart service that will take you to the beach. Their back road that takes you to the beach also will take you to the backside lot of many of the restaurants and plaza shops. The backside lots are where no one hardly parks, and there is plenty of parking. At the welcome center, They will also do beach supply rentals if you like (umbrellas, chairs, wagons). But, you can also rent the umbrellas and chairs at the beach if you don't feel like lugging that stuff back and forth. It is so peaceful and quiet there. They have Plenty of bike and car parking as well. We did have one issue that was immediately resolved on our first day there. We did not have any hot water in our condo the first day. Lol! But, when I reported it to the lady at the front desk (and I hate I forgot her name!!!!), she put in a work order, and while we were out that day, we came back to a sign on the door saying our request was received and taken care of. And, yes, they did take care of it. Thank you!! I will definitely be staying here again. Oh yes .. on a side note, I have never stayed in a resort that had so many suitcase carts. Wow!!! No need to wait at all. They have plenty and they are all conveniently located in the parking garage."
