The staff, from the front desk lady, to Maria ( the assistant), to Dr Legare, all showed me extra care and made me feel like all would be okay. Dr. Legare went over and beyond to call another opthomologist to get a second opinion. I will recommend Mt Pleasant Eye Surgeons to anyone needing a qualified opthomologist. "When I visited I specifically asked for only medical exam to be submitted to my insurance as I knew I was not covered for glasses/contacts. Against my wishes, they submitted for the glasses/contacts refraction. As a result they failed to collect the balance. Due to an unfortunate misunderstanding on my part a $65 bill went unpaid. They did send the correct notices, I just did not receive them. I never received an email until they were very quick to email me the receipt after I paid. I absolutely owed the practice and was more than happy to quickly call and pay over the phone. Each time I left the office I asked if anything further was owed and told “nothing today”. They chose however, to send my $67 to collections. The agent that called, threatened me, and made very inappropriate comments about the bill, and also refused to give me further information. The level of service is below standard, the office manager was unhelpful, and even after admitting their mistake, did not seem bothered that I had been treated this way. A PATIENT, A CUSTOMER! As far as the quality of the rest of their practice, it was ok, nothing special. It’s just a very cold, heartless, unfortunate way to handle a very sincere misunderstanding. I would not trust them to effect billing correctly, and would not recommend this practice to a blind person."

Dr. Legare is not only brilliant, she is also on the cutting edge of the newest technology, caring, attentive, and thorough; I’m confident my vision and ocular health are in excellent hands. The staff is fantastic - Julie Ann at check in/check out is always delightful, Maria and Kim (both highly certified ophthalmic technicians) take their time with their patients, are more than competent, professional, friendly, and kind. Their optical has a beautiful selection, Stephanie has an eye for the right look with frames! I’m grateful for all of them!"
