"Do not recommend. I saw Dr smith and I was not a fan. He acted annoyed when I decided I didn’t want an ablation. It’s my body and I can change my mind if I would like. The lady that did my ultra sound is nice and more informative than the Dr. I have found great OBgYn health care elsewhere."
"Dr Smith has been my primary care doctor for over 30 years. He delivered all of my children and I trust him with all of my healthcare needs. His staff is also amazing and many of them have been there the entire time I have been a patient. I won't go anywhere else."
"I began going to this practice about a year ago for hormone therapy replacement and weight loss. There were several times I was hesitant of going and a few where I cancelled appointments. Today was the worst appointment ever with Dr. Smith! A patient should never leave an office (near tears) where the physician has yelled at him/her! He is rude, unsympathetic and unprofessional. He does not listen or address the concerns of the patient. My questions and concerns have been blatantly dismissed any time I've asked about high levels on lab results. Apparently, he only addresses what he can treat! I've been told that I can take Phentermine "as long as I want to lose weight and keep the weight off." This is the only option I ever received as a solution to weight loss. Yet, when my BP is high upon arrival, I'm told it's because I'm "obese" or overweight and it couldn't possibly be a side effect of the medication even though it's listed as one. There is no education or consideration on other aspects that may be affecting weight loss. Today, he implied that failure to lose weight is my fault without even listening to me. He was so agitated! Yet, this happens to be AFTER I paid out of pocket for pellet therapy. Perhaps, listening to the patient would be advisable because I've researched other factors such as: PCOS (which is what I asked about before he yelled because of high levels of DHEA), insulin resistance, etc. I certainly hope he has a better rest of his day. No patient deserves to be a target of displacement because whatever issues he was having had absolutely nothing to do with me! Do better, Dr. Smith!"
"Gene Blake was the best. I moved and had to end my time with her, but her help at that practice was the best help I've ever received. I had suffered with hashimotos and never having a consistent TSH reading since I was a teen, extreme naseua all day every day for no reason, and two cyst ruptures in four months. Every doctor would either dismiss me or try to give me ulcer meds or put me on a new birth control. After leaving a doc office crying one day out of frustration, I decided I needed something different. I found Gene Blake and I had never felt so heard or felt like any one cared so much in a medical setting. She explained what she thought was going on, how she was going to try and fix the issue (not cover it up) and tests she wanted to run. Found out I had gluten sensitivity, high yeast count in my stomach, graves antibodies, low T3 levels, and PCOS. She tested my symptoms, gave me remedies in the form of diets/meds/vitamins, etc, checked in with me often, and got me feeling the best I ever had. I honestly think she's the reason I was able to get pregnant after years of trying. She helped cure my body from the gut and helped me understand how to listen to my body as well as how to understand what's best for it and it worked! Can't thank her enough!"
"I absolutely love Dr. Rhett. I think he is very kind and caring, not to mention his great sense of humor. Unfortunately I only met with Dr. Rhett once before switching to Dr. Smith for my IUD placement due to Dr. Rhett being out for knee surgery. Dr. Smith is extremely unprofessional and blatantly rude to patients and staff. He shouted at the nursing staff for not entering the room with me quickly enough instead of simply getting a nurse before coming into my room. When I returned to have my IUD checked because I was concerned it had moved, he was disrespectful and not understanding of my concern at all. This is my first IUD so I am understandably nervous. He made me feel like I was wasting his time by having my IUD checked. I have also had countless issues with the front desk staff. I was told several times I needed the Cytotek pills before they would place my IUD despite the fact that they gave the pills to me after my very first visit. I had to constantly remind them that yes I did have the pills. They rescheduled IUD placement appointment four times and I ended up without birth control for those four months. They gave me various excuses as to why, one excuse being that they accidentally sold my IUD to someone else. Another excuse was that they hadn't heard back from my insurance despite already being told my IUD was covered under my insurance. At the end of the end of the day, I've decided to switch gynecologist but I hope Dr. Rhett finds a better staff to meet his own personal level of care. He deserves better than what he's got."
