Reviews
"I have had good care with Dr Christian Baker at the Ballentine Family Practice location."
"Gretchen Kaune is the best NP. She listens to you, explains things thoroughly, and really puts sincere thought into your health care. The nurses and front desk staff have always been amazing."
"I have been a patient for years. I don't drive and it is difficult to get there at times. I have been sick for 26 days and had to reschedule several times. I showed up 11 minutes late and was told by the woman at the desk to go to urgent care. I can't afford to go to urgent care. They were well aware of the fact that I don't drive and have to rely on other people to get me there. After being a patient for 4+ years that's how I get treated. I wish I would have read the reviews before I ever went there. I have decided to fire them as my primary care physician."
"Horrible treatment. I have been abandoned by my doctor because I called him on a mistake in his referral notes. I also didn’t agree w/his not offering an antibiotic for a nostril infection loosening the tooth under it. My tooth has more ex and nuts out now. It he lied and wrote on his notes that my tooth was loose due to gum disease to avoid liability. I asked him to change that to the truth about my nostril infection but hecregusrd and the. Abandoned me. I have issues with my heart, kidney disease, ulcers, a hiatal hernia and severe shortness of breath and now both my hands are hurting terrible. I can’t write them due to Dt Baker blocking me from using My Chart and i dont have another doctor. The er doctor warned me not to give up my doctor until I find another one due to the danger of my conditions. I don’t have a car and need a pcp close by so I can get a ride. I made an interview appointment with a dr much farther away unit cd not get in until mid September. My kidney numbers are so bad and to wait this long to retest and refer Nevis very dangerous. I don’t even know if I can find a ride to this. Ew doctor and kidneys never heal if they get worse. Dr Baker knew he may be liable for my tooth and now he has abandoned me as a patient while my issues could be life threatening. Then kind of like Trumi he tried to turn it around on me snd say that I didn’t follow his directions & disagreed with his findings, that’s a lie. I asked him to change his mistake in my notes meant to cover his ace and I’ve followed everything he’s told me to do. He did refer me to a dentist but they do t take my insurance and I told him many times. Like another reviewer here said, “Ots dr bakers way ie the highest. He even called his dad who is a dentist and his dad said he’d give me an antibiotic. So then months after my tooth loosened he wrote one knowing I have chronic diarrhea but one that is well known to cause diarrhea. I called and asked for one less likely to cause that. He again wrote it for one well known to cause severe diarrhea. I have a friend with a masters degree in nursing. She said her doctor worked hard to keep trying different ones until they found one that did not cause that. Not Dr Baker. So due to that and my asking him to change the error in my notes, he is refusing to see me. Legally that’s called patient abandonment and it’s illegal. Pe my hands are hurting in the joints like crazy. I have so much going wrong with me it is so irresponsible totally refuse to serve a patient in my condition. I followed all his instructions though I told him I did not have the money to see that dentist. He is lying and saying I would not follow his directions and questioned his findings. It’s his way or the highway. I’m 61 years old so I know my body. He stubbornly refused to listen. My kidneys could be very badly damaged. He truly seems to have become a doctor not to help people heal but for his ego status. He does not listen. Does not respond to significant symptoms. It’s so scared!. I’ve never had a doctor lie about me or blame me to get rid of me. It’s just insane."
"I showed up 9 minutes late for my appointment, there was reasons why I was running late but that doesn’t matter to much I was late. The lady behind the desk was speaking with her manager and when they finished I was 10 minutes late which is past their thresh hold and now I’ve got to reschedule my appointment. I feel like there is a way they could work with me still but they chose the more convenient option for them. As a first time patient here this is a terrible experience."
