"I am a mother of a toddler on the autism spectrum, who also has sensory processing disorder and multiple developmental delays. Dr. Wischhusen had no compassion what so ever about any of my daily life routines I go through daily with my daughter. and also the fact that my PTSD and anxiety is having an impact on my relationship with my husband. She was rude and then proceeded to tell me I am a complainer. She then asked why do I stay home with my daughter, why doesn't your husband be the house dad and you work? I am not sure what kind of world this woman lives in but I'm pretty sure since forever it has always been the husband works and the mother takes care of the home and the children. She also proceeded to tell me that she "knows what autism is" I asked her if she has ever had to take care of a child on the spectrum.... and her answer was no. She told me that Benzos are not used for anxiety and they are not used for social anxiety either. Instead she just wanted to get me hooked on depression medication. I am not depressed. As you can tell she has no stars and no reviews because she is rude and uncompassionate to peoples situations and definitely mine. She said if I do not follow her treatment plan I would not be able to see the therapist I was seeing there to help cope with my anxiety and PTSD. and opened the door and allowed me to just walk out. I called her manager and I sure hope I get a call back. But if not at least others can see this woman is not very nice. What kind of psychiatrist is this? Since I have to rate a start I will give 1 star not that she deserves any for judging me and acting as if I am some sort of drug seeker. I took the first step to help my mental state so that I could be a better mother to both my children. Thanks a lot Dr. W, I personally think you should find another profession."
