Reviews of MinuteClinic at CVS
"This was a weird visit. I was not able to get an appointment with my regular doctor today. The minute clinic staff was training a new employee. I’m not sure what his licensing is. He was very anxious to the point his hands were shaking. The lady training him was not personable. They spent the entire time mostly talking to each other. They were running about a half hour behind. It was very awkward and I ended up not having very much confidence in them. The whole process was very awkward at best. I went ahead and made another appointment with my regular doctor. Unfortunately, I have to wait 2 more days to see her."
"My mother went in to get meds and gave her license to the girl at the window. Her license “disappeared” and she waited for the girl to hand it back she stated that she gave it back already. She went to the manager to find it. They insisted that she gave it back and would not let her see the footage for assurance. The girl had already been very flippant before finalizing the purchase and the loss of the card."
"Terrible experience. I told them I had sinus infection with bronchitis (have history of both of these and I know when I'm sick). They didn't give me any prescriptions, but charged me $259 to tell me I was covid negative (which I told them I didn't have covid and my home test was negative)....thank God for MedCare urgent care that took care of me and gave me antibiotics for severe acute respiratory syndrome- bronchitis.....the nurse that took my vital signs and checked me in at CVS minute clinic was very nice and professional....the nurse practioners at CVS need to take notes from her...."
"I made an appointment for my fiance online for 3:20 pm. He arrived at 3. At 5 he called me and said he was still waiting, hadn't been called to come in and when he checked it said his appointment had been cancelled and that now 8 people were in front of him. I called and it re-directed me to a central call center for all minute clinics. At this point after being transferred several times I rescheduled his appointment for 6:30. I went with him for this appointment. In all the confusion and frustration he left his wallet at home. He had a picture of his drivers license on his phone but she would not accept it. So we made another appointment for 11:20 this morning. On the way home we pass an Ingles that has a pharmacy. We went in, he filled out some info and gave him the tetanus shot he needed. It was $30 cheaper than what Minute Clinic would have charged. So if I were considering where to get any kind of shot, I highly recommend you go to Ingles Pharmacy. Also if you are getting a flu shot, CVS gives you a $5 coupon. Ingles gives you a $10 discount card on your purchases."
"Got there today (Sunday Morning) around 12pm. Had no isssues checking in, sat down to wait. I received the opt in text to let me know my appointment would be in 30 minutes after some time had passed. After the 30 minutes and I am the next patient, however, she closes up shop for lunch. I asked nicely if there was any way to be seen before she went to lunch, I have Strep Throat and since I’d been waiting so long already I told her I was a bit lightheaded. She informed me No, that she was pregnant and she had to eat, one of us would be passing out & the only thing she could do it call 911. I didn’t need 911. I just needed to be seen in an appropriate time frame from when I checked in. If they have such strict “procedures” they should inform you when you check in that it will take an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour to compensate for her lunch hour. She was quite rude and unprofessional. Needless to say I went to Care Connect and had such a better experience."
