"I recently adopted my new little guy named, Trooper. I drove 2 1/2 hours to get him. He's a sweetheart! He's a Chinese Crested that came from a home that could no longer care for him. He seems to adjust well and is very kind and loving towards other animals- dogs and cats. The two ladies I interacted with when picking him up were really nice. They were able to answer my questions and seemed to enjoy helping the shelter critters find their new homes. The adoption fees are beyond fair. Only four stars because getting ahold of someone was next to impossible. This should really be something the shelter team works on. Communication IS important."

"This place tries to give the pets as much love and care as they can till someone comes and adopts them. Donations are always needed."

"We recently adopted a dog that had spent much of his first year of life in the Abbeville animal shelter. He is the sweetest, smartest dog we could have hoped for. They must have taught him to sit, lie down and leave it because he came to us knowing those commands. It’s heartbreaking to see those innocent, beautiful animals in those kennels and if you have room in your heart and home, please adopt. They take amazing care of those animals and I would highly recommend supporting your local shelter."
