The Belmont Inn by OYO

"I booked a room at one of the nearby Hilton Hotels for my 18 year old son while he was in town for a college visit. Unfortunately, I was unable to make the trip and they would not let him check in the room because he wasn't 21. I called the Belmont Inn and spoke with Shelly to book a room on short notice. She was great! He loved the room and he said that Shelly took great care of him upon arrival. He will be attending Erskine in the fall and we will be staying at The Belmont Inn when we visit for football games."

"One of the most amazing and unique hotels we ever stayed in. OYO website is a bit odd, has errors - our reservation showed wrong date, I had to make another one, canceled the old one, but hotel could still see it. But employees at the front desk handled it quickly and professionally. It's quiet, beautiful, jazz music was playing in our room when we arrived. Simple but plentiful breakfast"

"The Belmont Inn is convenient and safe while traveling. The food in the bar is good. However, the last 2 times I’ve been there, I think they they put a space heater in the room to warm it up. Luckily, I asked for 2 extra blankets. This is a huge, old building. I had the space heater turned right on my bed. I froze every time I had to get out of the bed. I didn’t think I would be able to shower it was so cold. Thermostat made no difference. I can’t spend another night like that."

"I would rather stay in this charming, historic place than any modern, convenient setting! No microwave, coffee or fridge in the rooms in order to keep it original to the period. Friendly staff and located on the historic Abbeville Town Square! I will always choose the Belmont!"
