"BEWARE A DOCTORS VISIT IN THIS BUILDING! HUGE FACILITY FEE IS CHARGED! i was seen in the travel clinic summer 2022 to prepare for a trip. i was advised that it was cash only and insurance not accepted. i paid 168.90 for the visit and the fee ticket clearly states that 15.12 of this amount was the facility fee. since nov aug univ has been billing me 275 dollars for the facility fee which they say was not covered by insurance! i am reporting to 12 on your side as i have been unable to get this resolved."
"Good place"
"Dr. Ware (MFM) is great. She has very good bedside manner, she’s attentive, she listens to you and makes sure you understand what’s going on. I really wish she had been assigned as my MFM from the very beginning of the pregnancy. The nurses here as well as in labor and delivery are amazing. They are all very attentive, understanding, have great bedside manner, accommodating, etc. I have nothing but great things to say about the nurses on the antepartum floor. They made my stay pleasant. Now on to why this isn’t a 5 star hospital. I was assigned to Dr. Mahr. Due to some unforeseen complications, he prescribed me some medication to take and come back to see progress. Progress was worse. I’m not blaming the regime of medication, he did what he thought was best and it just didn’t work out. However, when I was admitted to the hospital because of some unfortunate circumstances, he came to my room and spoke to me as if he had NEVER seen me before. I’m not exaggerating either. He started talking to me about prescribing me the same medication like he didn’t remember that he already prescribed it to me. When I told him he did, he looked lost, got quiet and just kinda changed topics. I can’t believe this man has medical students following him around. If you have that many patients that you can’t even remember them, then you need to hire more doctors because this isn’t ok. Pregnancy is a very sensitive and personal journey. As a doctor assigned to someone, you should at least remember their face if not their name and you should definitely remember prescribing them medications!!! Next, because of my first pregnancy, I made sure to monitor my blood pressure very closely throughout. My blood pressure is typically normal and remained in the normal range until around 20 weeks pregnant. I mentioned this and it went unaddressed but him. I was only prescribed the high blood pressure medication by a different MFM (Dr. Debra Ware) when I was on a down hill slope. And when I say my blood pressure was high at 20 weeks and should’ve been prescribed then, I’m saying it was like 145/90 consistently when normally it was 117/80. But no, he ignored my blood pressure and my concern about my blood pressure. I understand you can’t cure preeclampsia or placenta insufficiency but you can treat other conditions that may aggravate it such as high blood pressure, diabetes, etc but he failed to do that. My pregnancy ended in a stillbirth of twins at 26 weeks. I know that there’s no way of telling if this could’ve been prevented even if he did do rig but by me and prescribe the right throngs at the right time and take my concerns seriously when I mentioned but I would have at least felt better knowing we did everything we could!! I don’t recommend this doctor for your pregnancy. Especially if you are considered high risk. Do yourself a favor and do some research. Find a better hospital, a better doctor, clinic, etc. Too much heartache here. Even after I had my stillbirth, he didn’t bother to come by to speak to me. But Dr. Ware did. She treated me like a person not just like a number on a clipboard. Believe the negative reviews of this hospital. STAY AWAY. If you are looking for a doctor and some personal care, this is NOT THE PLACE. Yes I’m heartbroken by my lost, however even if my pregnancy would’ve turned out positively (and I wish it had), I still would’ve left this same review to warn other parents to be/expectant moms. Because the care he gave was NOT personalized at all and when you are pregnant (especially if you are considered big risk) you require personal touch in your prenatal care. Pregnancy is sensitive subject so being treated like just another number is unacceptable."
