"My child has had nothing but a horrible experience at this school since starting a couple months ago. She has been being bullied I would say, the assistant principal seems to think it's just "teasing". Had my 2nd meeting with the guidance counselor as well as assistant principal this morning about my concerns for my child's safety while at their institution and in their care. Neither one could offer me any assurance that my child would be safe and protected while there. I was also trying to voice my concerns and I was interrupted and over talked by both members of the staff and was treated in a disrespectful manner. They tried to make it out to be my daughter's fault this was happening to her EVERYDAY by saying she pretty much wasn't telling on the children and she has been . They then made nothing but a bunch of excuses , pretty much whatever they could come up with as to why this was happening to her. They blamed it on her being a new student at first. Then said that kids are going to be kids. Well how come I've NEVER met children like this before. That were so mean and hateful in 3rd grade! When I asked the assistant principal how she would feel if I threatened her what would be done to me she couldn't answer. But I know the answer she would call the authorities and I would be prosecuted. How come nothing is being done to the children who are doing this same thing to my child. They are breaking the law and getting away with it. I don't trust the staff or the students at this school. I worry for my children's safety everyday. At one point in our meeting the assistant principal even smirked or smiled and even shrugged her shoulders as to say I don't care. That is what I gathered from it. I will not be back for any more meetings as it has been a huge waste of time and I will not be talked down to or disrespected by this staff again. I will from now on go above and beyond as that's the only way to ensure my child's safety."
