"My significant other and I returned for a third time at this spa given our past experiences were great. Unfortunately, this time was not so great. The staff remains friendly, which is a lot to ask for these days as few in customer service are kind. In saying that, my massage and facial, while nice, were not great. The day before our treatments I received an email stating our facials and add ons were canceled. I called to ask why and the receptionist told me that they could see on there end that there were no cancellations and to disregard the email as it was a mistake. Upon arrival, the receptionist repeated to us our treatments for the day, getting the add ons for our facials incorrect, which concerned us because we wanted what we booked, not some eye mask that they incorrectly put us down for. I think an error was made on their end and they didn’t properly correct it. I told them I was unhappy with the mixup because they didn’t seem to care and blew it off and I showed them our confirmation email to ensure we were going to get what it was we booked. Since my add on was a glycolic peel they decided to then inform me that their hydrafacial includes a glycolic peel and it may be too much for my skin to add a second one. It was good of them to inform me of this, however, I wish their website mentioned the peel as part of the hydrafacial because I was unaware and I’ve never had that included before with other hydrafacials elsewhere. Nearly seven hours after my hydrafacial I’m disappointed with the results. My pores look smaller, yes, but otherwise you can’t tell a difference in my skin. I was told there would be redness and puffiness, but it’s like I had nothing done. I have had hydrafacials before and they must’ve been more effective because my skin came out very red, but once it calmed down the results were noticeable. For $170 I expected more notable results. Moreover, my massage was not good at all. Yes I came out relaxed, but that’s not satisfactory enough. The pressure during the massage was too light and prior to starting I asked for the focus to be on my shoulders and back as I work in healthcare pushing and lifting patients all day, so I have a lot of tension and pain there. The massage therapist spend the short 50 minutes on every part of my body, leaving the last bit of time we had on my neck and an inch of that time on my shoulders. I have had significantly better massages for half the price elsewhere. I was also charged an additional $20 for Recover Arnica Muscle Relief, but I couldn’t tell you what that even is as the massage therapist didn’t tell me whether or not he was doing it. Is it an oil, a technique? Who knows! After this experience I do not believe we will be back. A nap is relaxing and free. This was $990 for hype."
"The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas! It really gets you in the holiday spirit . Once in the spa, Autumn checked me in and showed me around all the areas I could relax in while waiting and how to use the locker and sauna. She was very sweet, knowledgeable and calming. The sauna was a great way to start and end my visit, all the amenities were wonderful- they have everything you could want-even toothbrushes and sunscreen in the bathroom. The whole area was impeccably clean. I had a 50 min custom massage with Melissa in a very cozy & comfortable room that also had a bathroom. Melissa let me pick the oil to be used and the pressure I preferred. She asked what my problem areas were and really paid attention to those areas. The massage was perfect and relaxing- I almost fell asleep. I will definitely be coming back to the spa again- when I left I felt so calm, and the pain in my neck and shoulders was gone. After my massage I went back in the sauna, and then browsed the boutique. Autumn and Natalie answered all my questions about the products. Really great experience in the spa."
"my boyfriend and i purchased a couples massage (my first massage). the staff is amazing everyone was so nice and welcoming. my masseuse was very professional and very considerate. i couldn’t believe it. everything was so clean. the bathrooms were in excellent condition. they offer all kinds of amenities during your time. i won’t ever forget this moment. it was wonderful. thank you K and maurice for this unforgettable time. we will be returning!"

She asked me about my goals and what I was looking for to ensure I had a great experience. I would highly recommend making a trip to this spa even if you’re not staying at the hotel!"
"I booked a spa day for me and my girlfriends during our visit to Charleston. The experiences far exceeded our expectations. The warm welcome from Christopher and the cozy amenities immediately made us feel relaxed. Leah was not only one of the sweetest people I've ever met, but also quite a skilled esthetician. A week later, my skin is still looking and feeling flawless. I was also treated to one of the best deep tissue massages from Amy - I only wished I booked an hour an a half with her. The manager, I believe his name was Brandon, was quite helpful and pleasant when checking out. We cannot wait to return the next time we're in town."
