"0/5. I’ve been to Sports Clips in 3 different states (SC, NC, and GA) and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Sports Clips. This will be lengthy so read if you wish. I would not want anyone to waste their time or money like I did today. Or be treated the way I was. The estimated wait time online was 18 mins when I checked in and my recommended arrival time was 11:58am. I walk up to the door at 11:50am and there’s a sign outside that mentions they are short staffed and please be patient. I work with the public as well, so I get it, it’s tough to have full staffing all the time. I walk in and my wait time has been changed from 18 mins to 55 mins. I considered not waiting and simply leaving, but I really needed a cut and today was my only day off work to get it done. My regular stylist at another location literally 4 miles aways wasn’t in so I wanted to give someone else a chance. I like meeting new people and trying new places. There are 2 stylists cutting hair so I thought okay they are short staffed and working hard as they can, I’ll be patient and wait. I wait the 55 mins and 2 ladies (I assume they are stylists) come from the back and look at the computer and simply walk off. They don’t say hello to any customers, they simply look and leave. The stylist that ended up cutting my hair (I’ll leave her name out as I don’t like to get personal) goes “You Jordan?” I reply with a “yes I am” and I get up and she then tells me it will be a few more mins while she cleans up. I’m wondering what these two ladies in the back are doing. They were in the office on their phones. So I sit back down and she returns and does “I’m (her name)”. I stick my hand out for a handshake (every other location I’ve visited you shake hands with the stylist) and she’s already walked off and goes “this chair here”. She then tells me there’s no notes on my profile even though I’ve been to Sports Clips probably 50 plus times in my life and asked how I want my hair cut. I tell her how I want my hair cut and she goes “round or square?” Very sharply and I said I’m sorry? She goes “ROUND OR SQUARE?” I said I’m sorry I don’t understand. She goes In the back, round or square? I tell her square. She cuts my hair and then asks if I want a wash (not an MVP) after she’s done. I tell her I’d like the MVP and we go to the back and she outs the famous steamed towel on my face… it’s not warm at all. The water she washes my hair with… also not hot. In her defense, she didn’t know these things bc I didn’t mention them as I was so flustered at this point I just wanted to leave. However, when she dried my hair, she grabbed it all in one knot and pulled it… I’m like what are you doing??? I take the towel and finished drying my own head. I go to pay and give them a coupon. The stylist asks another lady how to enter it and she then tells me they can’t accept my coupon bc “the owners won’t allow it” and that my coupon is for a specific store. Seems a little nuts that this coupon has sports clips all over it and they won’t accept it. So I pay and leave a tip regardless of my horrible experience, and am relieved I am done with these people. Only I drive 2 miles down the road to realize she has missed a giant spot on the side of my head where the hair is much longer than the other side. So all in all, I paid $31 to fix my own haircut. On top of all of this. I was in that store over 90 mins and those two ladies in the back on their phones did not cut one soul that came in. Even if they were on lunch, 90 mins when you have customers waiting is far too long. I get 30 mins or even 60, but 90 plus? I don't blame the stylists. I blame the ownership. They allow this and only care about the bottom line. They would rather mislead customers about wait times and not accept coupons than run a customer friendly business. I know this ownership is to blame bc I’ve never had this poor of an experience at any other Sports Clips. I’m not one for name calling out, but would avoid this spot if you can. The other Simpsonville store run by different owners is MUCH better."
"Dalaney is an asset to your business! Super nice, personable, friendly! My son loved her cutting his hair! Thank you for the back to school cut! We drove over an hour to get there and we will be back!"
"The girls were so sweet and did an amazing job on my kids for their back to school cuts!!"
"What can I say, but thank you. A week prior I had went to another business who I decided to give another chance after not listening to what I wanted done, and messed up 6 months of hair growth. Needless to say, it looked horrible, and needed to be fixed. I cannot recall the young lady that dine my cut, but she was very accommodating, and understood my frustration, and well, took care of me better than anyone at any hair studio had done in 3 years. She took the time, suggested several options, and it goes without saying that I am extremely pleased with the excellent work she performed. Thank you for doing what others fail this day and age, and listen, and most of all, taking care of your customers! You have gained a new customer, hands down!"
"Where I get my hair done. Unsually great service and not too busy. I have my favorite hairstylist here but I almost always just go with first stylist available. I don't think I've ever had a bad stylist. This picture is of Melissa. She's awesome. I almost never have to wait here, plenty of stylists available. I recommend at least a 5$ tip. I actually buy my pomade here and it lasts a long time."
