"This place is a boaters dream marina ! I have owned several boats on murray over the last 20 years , and considered this to be the best place I have found. Last summer I was sitting in lone just to get in the marina I was at and had been for almost an hour. That's when I realized it was always going to be like that . I had been using that marina for many years ut it had outgrew itself. In despair I decided to rent a boat from lake murray boat club , which is how I found SSM. A few weeks later I went to my boat at said popular , closer to town marina ( had to go during a weekday just to get in and out quickly ) and the top half of my engine was missing , along with everything out of my boat ( floats , jackets , radio , etc. ) the owners response was " that's why we have insurance. " ... Fast forward a year and I bought a different boat and decided to dock it elsewhere , so I tried this place and it's amazing. The cost is worth every penny . Never a line to get in , or too much boat traffic creating a bottle neck heading in and out.. no worries of some drunk idiot wrecking into you . The staff is unbelievably nice and knowledgeable. The ride is almost 20 minutes farther , but we get almost 2 hours longer on the water with the convenient lay out. I look forward to many more years of boating here!!"
