"I unexpectedly had to attend a funeral, I needed a really great looking suit. Expecting to pay $600-$850 for a decent suit and even more for the shirt, tie and belt. I was surprised that upon arrival they were having a 50% off sale. With online coupon an additional 20% off that. Then a woman behind me gave me a additional $10off coupon. "Have always loved Belks and shopped here over 50 years..clerks always helpful and friendly..manager Holly the best..my only complaint is that clothes are very packed on racks and racks too close to each other. Customers would not be overwhelmed shopping if more room and relaxed in this area. it is like having to dig through a rummage at times with racks so packed."

"What in the world? This used to be such a pretty store. Prices have always been all over the place and there were a few years where the quality of clothing left a lot to be desired. The mid to end of last year I purchased a nice dress on line and did a curbside pick up. No worries and the dress was nice and reasonably priced. I went in Memorial Day weekend this year and, what?? It is not in my blood to pay $20-$40 for an infant or toddlers short set or for a cute little summer dress for a five year old! There were sales going on, true enough, but you had to spend at least a hundred dollars to benefit. That was inside. I almost didn't go in as all the entrances are closed other than the front. The parking lot was trashy. The landscaping, or lack thereof, was enough to make me shake my head in wonder. With prices being like they were inside, I would certainly expect the grounds to be manicured but the weeds and all the dead "greenery" gave the building an abandoned appearance. Probably won't be back, at least no time soon. And Belk... Get yourselves some landscapers because...dang!"
