"If you are looking for Indian food, this ain’t it. They just changed their menu to be more American. Although disappointed in the lack of Indian cuisine, I did stay and have the ‘with a cuff and a crease’ which was very good, but the portion size was small for the money. The ambiance is nice but for the over 45 crowd like me, bring a flashlight for the trendy but moody lighting. It is super dark in there at night!"

"We had a really disappointing experience at Coterie. We came early and were seated quickly but it went downhill from there. The first dish we tried to order they were out of. The server left for long periods of time so much so that the hostess would come over and check on us. The portions were small and they charged extra for white rice. When the white rice came it had hard grains of rice (never experienced this at any restaurant before, including many Indian and Asian restaurants where it's free). We sent it back and received more undercooked rice. The palak paneer was unique which I liked but it just didn't have much flavor. The appam was our favorite but all the dishes were quite small. The ambience on the patio was pretty but they were playing Trap music with gunshots which we found strange. The server never really came back after about midway and the hostess was the one who checked on us and brought us the rice. We were unimpressed and ready to leave but our server was nowhere to be found. My husband went and found her and gaver her our credit card to pay the bill. She finally came back with the slip to sign but without our credit card so he had to track her down again. I was very excited to try it but ultimately I wouldn't go back or recommend this restaurant."

"We came here for a bachelorette party brunch and luckily had the entire place for us! The atmosphere is cozy, modern, clean, and intimate. We were treated with a champagne toast and were very catered to. The food and drinks were absolute perfection. The outside bar area is very well shaded and fanned. Everything about this place is amazing."

"Loved every bit of our experience last night at Coterie. The food was excellent, the vibe was great and the drinks had us staying a lot longer than we should have. Met the owner who was very lovely. Our bartender/waiter, Sa’quan, that took care of us was amazing and very personable. The menu recommendations were spot on and amazing. Vast amount of cocktail choices that were all amazing. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone while in Charleston, SC."
