"I’ve been living in different states for past few years. Finding a good hair cutter is always hard for me. Couple of my friend were recommended me to see Joni. And, I’m glad I did. I remember the first haircut, I was pretty nervous because I had hard time to find a good hair cutter knowing how to cut Asian hair. But she surprised me, and even share tips for Asian hairstyle!! Ever since then, I only trust Joni to take care of my hair :) Joni always gives me a nice haircut. She’s warm, friendly and professional with her job. I enjoyed every haircut time, we chatted about so many things. She’s more like a friend to me. Unfortunately, I had to relocate for job. And I’m still looking for another Joni here:( For those who still struggling to find a good haircut place, I would highly recommend you to see Joni. You will love her!!! Thank you so much, Joni :)"

"My pixie cut had grown out and I needed a trim. I had a reference picture but it still turned out not great. I'm not sure if she just doesn't understand how Asian hair works but it doesn't look like my reference and it is too thinned out to style. She was very nice but not able to give me the haircut I wanted."

"This place used to be good when it was still called Salon 1821 and located elsewhere. However, the new business owner is rude. Last time I got a cut there, it is completely different than what I asked for, it was rushed, and my head was so uneven after a few days. I tried to come back to make an appointment twice, but this guy kept telling me to make an appointment, which was what I was there to do in the first place since I couldn't do it online. The second time I tried, he just kept redirecting me to Salon Tribe, which is actually a better option since everyone here is friendly and is not in such a hurry. Salon Tribe would be a better option if you're either making an appointment or just doing a walk-in. It's just a few businesses away from Respite."
