"The stylist knew exactly what cut I was interested in getting after asking just a few questions. She was very professional and made sure I was satisfied with her work. I would recommend Kiely to anyone because you could tell she cares about making a difference for people like me who wait a little bit too long to get a stylist. I liked that Vanity Salon stays open until 7 pm because I could make an appointment for after work"
"I’ve used Minnie several times. The color has always been great. I finally let her “trim” my hair. I even pulled my hair up to the side to show how much hair to cut. She turned my long hair I’ve been growing out for over a year into a layered mullet. I’m humiliated. I NEVER asked for any layers. Just a tiny dusting of a trim. I now have to get the cut fixed somewhere else. I will not be using her again."
"We are working so hard to got steal in our face! The prices advertised online added to $170 confirmed by one of the employer! I asked for full highlights she did half, a horrible haircut, blow dry without drying it completely, didnt use flat iron to seal it and ended up charging me $210 because she knew I didn't like what she did on my hair! OVERCHARGE ME TO GET HER NOT deserve TIP! I told her about the prices that I was told she got attitude and keep charging me the same! I lost $40 but she is loosing more!"
"Kylie B did an amazing job! First time going to her, and she knew exactly what I was looking for with my hair color! I definitely will continue to go to Kylie!!!"
"DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY BECAUSE THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT!!! If I could give this salon 0 stars I would! I have never written a review because I have better things to do with my time. But, if I can save one person from this horrible place then my time was well spent. I had not one but, two horrible experiences with this salon. I know what you are thinking...why did you go back? Well, I believe in second chances. I suppose I have only myself to blame. "Once shame on you, twice shame on me." The first of the two traumatic experiences was on my wedding day!! I could, and should have, done my own preparations but, who doesn't want to be pampered on their wedding day. At the time I booked my appointment I was unaware that it was with the founder, Kim Coleman. Being that she is the founder makes this experience that much worse. I was scheduled for a hairstyle, airbrush makeup and tattoo cover up. We started the appointment off with my hair. Ms. Coleman said things to me like,"you must have a special curling iron because I've tried every tool I have." Being that we were running out of time, we moved on to my makeup which was acceptable at best. After my makeup we moved onto covering my tattoo. I chose this salon on the simple fact that they offered tattoo cover up. Not only was she unable to cover up the tattoo but, the makeup was nowhere near my skin color. Come to find out, the founder did not come prepared with the proper amount of makeup because she had to ask another stylist for more and they were out as well. We ended up just wiping it off. After 3 hours, I just wanted to get out of there. Not only was I forced to pay for a service I didn't receive but, Ms. Coleman was in a hurry the entire time and was beyond rude. I ended up having to rush home and figure out what to do with my hair that had way to much product in it. There is so much more I could add but, I still have to tell you about my second experience. This appointment was a cut and color, for my 11 year old daughter, with Minnie Brown. I just came back from military duty and made a promise to my daughter before I left that she would be rewarded for her good behavior. Instead of a reward she experienced her first hair trauma. Not only did Ms. Brown cut entirely too much of her hair but, the pastel pink requested turned into a brassy gold. We showed her a picture of both haircut and hair color so she had a point of reference. I am a very outspoken person and have spent my 30+ years on this planet perfecting my respectful approach to obtaining the results I want. Upon telling Ms. Brown we were not satisfied with the color she stated it would take several appointments to achieve the results we wanted. I stated she should have told us before touching her hair if she couldn't provide said results. After Ms. Brown continued to repeat herself in very condescending way and I continued to state she should have been upfront from the beginning she went to the back to get a stylist by the name of Liz Sweat. When telling Ms. Sweat what was going on she rolled her eyes at me and I proceeded to tell her that was disrespectful and uncalled for. She then put her finger in my face and became very aggressive. Did I mention my 11 year old daughter was sitting in her seat cringing at her hair?! Ms. Sweat, very professionally, took hold of the situation and finished my daughters haircut apologizing profusely for Ms. Brown's behavior. My daughter is slowly coming to terms with her hair but she will remember this for the rest of her life and I feel terrible for subjecting her to because I should have never given them another chance. The 1st picture is an example of the color we requested. The 2nd is what we got and the 3rd is how long her hair was. We showed Ms. Brown at most 4in to be cut and we lost a good 8 in."
