The Mattress EXPO

"I first met Drew in 2003 at his store outside Augusta, GA. We purchased several mattresses for our lake house in the area. My family and I have since purchased several mattresses for our primary residences. Our last purchase was for moving my mom to an assisted living facility in Bluffton, SC. We purchased an adjustable bed frame and mattress similar to a hospital bed, but much more comfortable. Drew set up a delivery and install so it would be ready when we arrived with my mom's furniture from Indiana. They also picked up a reclining lift chair and delivered it at the same time. Great service and great communication. I will definitely continue to use recommend Drew to my friends and family."

"My family and I moved from Utah to Anderson last May to be near my elderly mother-in-law. We rented a Penske truck to go one way and returned it to the Mattress Expo Store (who also have a Penske dealership) in Anderson South Carolina. What a great experience to have these people be the first people we met when arriving in South Carolina. After doing the paperwork on the truck return, we decided to look at some mattresses. My husband and I decided on a mattress and my mother-in-law also decided to buy herself one. We’ve been happy with our mattress, and my mother-in-law has been very happy with hers. During a conversation with my mother-in-law yesterday I found out that she had called the store a month or two after the purchase and asked them if there was anyone that could help rotate her mattress. To my surprise I found out that they have had a guy there named Dominic come to her house TWICE since May to rotate the mattress at no charge!! My husband and I couldn’t believe how nice they were to do such a thing. They haven’t charged her anything and they have been very kind to my mother-in-law. In fact, they are scheduled to come out and rotate her mattress again on Thanksgiving week. We will buy our future mattresses at mattress expo and recommend them to anyone looking for a mattress. The mattresses are great. I’m sure a lot of stores have great mattresses but in this case it was more than just mattresses. Special thanks to Dominic and everyone else at Mattress EXPO!"

"I was impressed from the first time I walked into the store. I only had an idea of what my wife and I wanted, but every store in town has mattresses that look the same. Most of them, especially the furniture stores, just wanted to “sell” you something, FOR A LOT MORE MONEY! Drew was completely knowledgeable, relatable, and patient. He did not pressure us, and we took a few days to look around before making a decision. We did take notice that his prices were much better than the name-brand places. When we returned to the store, he remembered our names and was totally the same as the first time we walked into the store. We got a GREAT mattress for a much better price than the other places, and he delivered it the same day! This place has restored our faith in humanity…at least from a retail standpoint! The owner and his team have always communicated very well to let me know when to expect the truck for delivery. "In June of this year I made the very poor decision to purchase a mattress from Mattress Expo in Anderson. I purchased a pillow top Sterns and Foster that sold for around $2700. Things seemed ok at point of purchase , even though there was a bit af a wait as they had to “wait on the truck,” to come in. On the day of delivery I got a call from the salesperson telling me “I have great news for you,” I was immediately suspicious. She went on to tell me that the mattress I purchased was discontinued by the manufacturer and I would be getting the replacement, which cost more, at no additional charge. I don’t believe a word ot that was true. While I cannot prove it, I believe that it was a mattress they had taken back on a slepp guarantee and were trying to get rid of it. When it was delivered I immediately noticed it was not a pillowtop at all, but I figured if was comfortable that was all that mattered. When my wife and I flipped the mattress off the foundation to put on the bed skirt we immediately noticed rub marks on the bottom of the mattress (commonly caused by adjustable foundations.) and a stain. We immediately called and made the salesperson aware of the issue, After much discussion with the salesperson and owner it was agreed that they would deliver the fight mattress. After another long wait they finally sent their guys to deliver the new one, in a pickup truck When delivered I was surprised that it was not in a carton (this type of mattress (coils with no edge support) needs to be in box to maintain its structure, and they had it jacked into the back of the truck. A king size mattress does not fit in the back of a pickup truck. I believe the fact that drove from Atlanta to my house with the mattress jacked on the back of their truck it caused to damage that we now live with. We noticed a bump in the mattress but figured it would work itself out and I did not want to deal with the owner or salesperson again since I highly question their ethics. The bump is still in the mattress and I don’t want to have anything to do with Mattress Expo again. I am including pictures of the original mattress that was delivered as well as the replacement. There is no doubt in my mind that they tried to deceive me when the original mattress was delivered and they clearly do not have the proper truck to deliver a king size mattress. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all cost. Note: The blue mattress is the current mattress."
