"It was great prior to them changing the sale price that dropped as it's been on the floor as weeks, months go by. Now it's fixed sale price and the pieces are DAMAGED (not just slight blemish) for an expensive price. Went there 1 week ago a.d not returning. Used to be our go-to place."
"I was told 2 Nadia counter stools were in stock by Kathy P the sales associate on shift Sunday, November 19th at 3:55pm. The Asheville outlet called to arrange a hold for me as well. Kathy took my credit card number over the phone and we arranged for me to pick up the counter stools the following Wednesday. Upon arrival today, I pulled up to the delivery dock for their associate to load them into my car, only for the associate to bring out 2 damaged stools. Both frames had cracked all the way through and glued back together. If someone sat down, they would clearly not be able to withstand the weight. I brought this to her attention and she went and got the manager on shift. He came out and I explained that nobody had informed me these stools were damaged on the phone when I purchased them and requested an immediate remedy, whether that be a replacement, price adjustment or complete refund. He went inside, only to return and say he had spoken with the sales associate Kathy, and she said she had informed the Asheville associate and me they were damaged, which was a complete lie. There was absolutely no mention or discussion of any damage whatsoever. She only took my card number during the brief call. Additionally, I said that mistruth was unacceptable and unethical and I wanted this rectified. The manager then proceeded to just make up complete falsities that he actually heard the entire phone call and knew she had informed “someone” they were damaged. I said that was impossible since the conversation did not even occur. We continued to disagree, in which I asked exactly what she had said to me, and he again, made up a complete false narrative that never occurred. I requested him play back the phone call since it says they record them for training purposes. He refused and continued to say I agreed to the product “As-Is” when I purchased them, but had they disclosed the damage, I would not have proceeded with the purchase. And I certainly would not have driven 1.5 hrs to pick them up! Not disclosing an item is damaged and then lying to avoid responsibility is totally unacceptable and unethical. I informed him I would be reporting this to corporate and my credit card company for selling me a damaged product without disclosing the true condition to me. He said when the credit card company called, he would just lie and say they had told me the stools were damaged. I then called corporate and they arranged to replace them(if they become in stock). This unethical and immoral behavior by any company employees is completely unacceptable, and on a holiday no less. Clearly the associates have no incentives to provide appropriate customer service as their KPIs only track sales, when they should be tracking customer complaints. I will be reporting him specifically to corporate for unethical business practices. 11/24/23 Update: Clearly the manager’s “sincerest apologies” posted below are not sincere at all. After this posting, instead of offering a solution, the Gaffney outlet manager had my FedEx return labels issued on 11/22 by the corporate office cancelled. My credit card company removed the charge after I disputed it for fraudulently selling me damaged goods without disclosing the items true condition. My credit card company said Crate & Barrel will have to prove they disclosed to me the goods were damaged prior to my purchase."
"Execeptional customer service! We were looking for dining chairs and luckily found them at this location Ended up buying rooftop furniture as well. Very friendly people, super eager to help . Follow them on insta for all the latest and new stuff. Def recommend."
"We had a fantastic experience at the Crate & Barrel Outlet Store in Gaffney. We recently moved into a new home and furnished most of it from the regular priced Crate & Barrel Store. I didn’t know this store existed until after we ordered or I could have saved myself a few thousand dollars. Regardless, when we did find out about this store, we found some amazing things to add to what we already had. There were several things I planned to go back and get from C&B in Charlotte but was able to find here for 50% off. The customer service is also better than any regular C&B retail store that I’ve been to. Every employee was genuinely helpful and kind—which is rare in customer service today so kudos to everyone working at this location. You can find anything and everything here…from furniture, to dishes, to curtains, etc. Go check it out for yourself! I think my husband enjoyed himself in this store even more than I did!!"
