"We had an incredible experience at DJ's Southern Kitchen in Summerville, SC. The customer service was exceptional as they efficiently handled six different orders with only 30 minutes left before closing. Being a family-run business, the personal touch was evident in every aspect. Visiting from Panama, this restaurant made our trip even more memorable. Highly recommend for both the warm hospitality and delicious Southern cuisine."

"Horrible experience with the cashier(who mentioned it is her parents restaurant)! She became argumentative, combative, and wanted to fight me because I mentioned that one of my plates were incorrect and should have perlo instead of red rice. She said I didn’t order perlo rice and she accused me of coming in there multiple times in the past and complaining about my food but I tried to explain to her she must have me confused with someone else. If I had an issue with the restaurant, I would not continue to give them my business. Yes, I have been there before but never complained to her or anyone else about my food. Also, when I noticed on my receipt she only charged me for 2 sides but I asked and wanted 3 sides I paid for the additional side. Yet, she tried to accuse me of trying to get free food. Not everyone is broke! Ultimately I requested a refund because it is not worth it, plenty of other restaurants in the area! Oh and my receipt clearly shows one order had perlo rice and the other red rice so she was wrong!"

"We ordered a few plates on 9/30/23 around 4pm. The beef stew was good but if you like a lot of meat then it’s not for you. I don’t mind because I’m not a meat person and you get full off the sides. The Mac n cheese was perfect. The yams would have been good but they put way too much cinnamon on them. So they didn’t taste great n it left an after taste. I’m sure it’s just a random thing n I’m definitely going to try them again because things happen. The banana pudding was good and you get a decent portion. Everyone who got plates said the food was good it’s just the yams was off."

"Our cashier was so polite and kind. We came in 30 minutes before closing and were able to get turkey wing dinner with 3 sides(macaroni&cheese, sweet potatoes, and turkey rice).I have never had turkey rice in my life, and I'm almost upset. My baby boy and my husband loved it so much they almost left me none. It came with cornbread. My husband ordered FALL OFF THE BONE ribs with 2 sides(cabbage and sweet potatoes). We ordered sweet potato pie and banana pudding for dessert, and we ordered lemonade and fruit punch for our meals. Everything was amazing. Any time we are in Summerville, we will be stopping through. It is also worth the drive. Thank you for the amazing service."

"Got there just as they opened. Porkchop was amazing. Fries were good. Mac left a little to be desired but it didn't taste fresh but no reason not to go again. That beef stew....my god. I'd go back just for that on a cold day. Go see them. You will not regret it."
