"I was anticipating my first trip to Lulu’s all week and finally made it there on Friday with my wife for an early dinner (4pm). I personally was excited about the Bouillabaisse for me and the Short Rib dinner for my wife. I was also looking forward to trying the Butter Bread that everyone raves about. Our server, Scoti, was very personal and attentive and the restaurant had a very nice ambience about it. The Butter Bread came out first and we were a bit disappointed with it. I bake a lot at home, including all types of breads, and we felt like we were served day-old bread that didn’t represent what the regular customers look forward to day after day. Bummer but hey, here comes our entrees! My entree was a proper fish stew with an abundant amount of protein (lobster, shrimp, monkfish, and mussels) in a spicy tomato broth. It was everything I had hoped for and more and well worth the price ($41). A perfect 5 in my book and I could eat it over and over again. We unfortunately couldn’t say the same about my wife’s short ribs. She had a delicious short rib at another restaurant on the island the week before and I was certain that this short rib would be every bit as good as that one and probably even better because it was served over polenta. The polenta was nice and creamy but the short rib was very dry - as if it was leftover from the day before and reheated. I had to scoop some of my bouillabaisse sauce out so she could bathe her short rib in it. A real disappointment and my gut says this too isn’t what most customers get when they come to Lulu’s. We took a slice of key lime pie home with us and it was delicious. So a mixed bag for us but we’re willing to give Lulu’s another shot before we leave the island and we hope that both of our dishes represent the meals I think Lulu’s produces on a regular basis. I’ll let you know…."
"Fantastic restaurant for a brunch date! The lobster eggs Benedict we're highly recommended to us and worth it. We paired it with some mimosas and had a great time for a couple of hrs. The staff was very friendly and made sure everything was served to perfection. I would highly recommend this place to any local and tourist in the area."
"I've been wanting to try Lulu Kitchen for a while and we finally did, stopping by for an early dinner on a Thursday evening. The dining area is attractively decorated. It's a little small, but that's not a bad thing! The hostess seated us, explained the specials of the day, and brought us beverages. As for food, I ordered a peach barbecue salmon and my wife got pear and gorgonzola salad. I tasted my wife's salad and it was excellent, made of fresh greens, ripe pear chunks, pecans, English peas, blue cheese, and a delicious dressing. My salmon dish was also very good. It consisted of a generous portion of salmon topped with crispy onions. The salmon lay on a bed of sauteed spinach and potatoes. It looked great and tasted great! We enjoyed the food and the friendly service and would not hesitate to return again and try something else from their menu."
"We really enjoyed lunch here! The atmosphere and service was great! I am glad I ordered the prickly pear gimlet cocktail as it was very good. The food was simply wonderful. My wife had the pear and Gorgonzola salad and I had the shrimp po’boy and both were really good. Can’t wait to go back for dinner or Sunday brunch! The tiramisu was also to die for!"
"We arrived at 5:00pm and the place was almost empty, only a few others came in the whole time we were there. Upon entering we were met by an undesirable smell but the staff was friendly. The aesthetic was classy but felt inconsistent - I'm unsure if the attempt was Mediterranean inspired or something else. It wasn't bad but could definitely be improved. The bread appetizer was very good. You should absolutely get it. Lobster ravioli was very rich but exactly what I was hoping for. Very good. Short rib grilled cheese wasn't on the dinner menu but they were willing to make it and it was really good. Brussels we're pretty good. The grand slam was the desert. The souffle was exceptional, as was the ice cream they served with it."
