"Just took our dogs to the little dog park (by police station) and to the big dog park that's just around the corner in the campground. Both were VERY NICE: clean mulch, shady trees, nice outdoor furniture, fun playground props for dogs, clean running water with a nice big bowl, safe with double fencing at entrance, nice people, nice dogs. We were grateful for these parks, especially since they were on the nice cross-town bike / walking route, near good dog-friendly restaurants, and a way to exercise the dogs since they are never allowed on Tybee beaches."
"Edit: They replaced the inner gate of the small dog park. I know there’s no grass but my dogs still love this park. So I gave the dog park 3 stars. They got rid of the inner gate door into the park. My dog (about 23 pounds) escaped and got hit by a car. Luckily my dog was ok. I would not recommend for small dogs that are an escape risk. I will never come here again sadly."
"We opted not to take our dog here. We didn't see a double-gate / entry area to allow us to enter safely and there were large dogs were pacing excitedly up and down the fence line where the entry was. Due to our dog having some leash anxiety, this made us feel like we could not safely approach with him and attempt an introduction. Better safe than sorry!"
"There is a Dog Park II that had plenty of space, shade, and even a couple of tubs you could fill with water to make a small pool. Not the most beautiful spot, but it’s free. So be grateful."
"The signs to get there are easy to follow, it’s not exactly where maps takes you. However the actual dog park is kind of sad. There are two options, both have burrs littering the grass, and they aren’t anything but a field. As the only option on the island I thought it would be a little better but at least it was a fenced area for our two dogs to run around. We only stayed for a few minutes because of the sand flies."
