Reviews of NexTop Nails llc
"usually have a good experience here , i was charged $80 for and acrylic nail set. that is outrageously high i got them short and almond shaped. everyone is always so nice and i love coming here but i doubt i will be able to if they are going to charge this much. a few months ago i got the same exact thing done and only paid $45."
"My friend referred me to this salon, so I went there today for the first time. I was really impressed with being addressed immediately after walking in. Got my pedicure done and was very pleased. Then, I went to get my nails done. Phu was my nail tech. When I walked in the salon, the manager (I think she was) asked me what I wanted. I said, "pedicure and manicure." Then, I was asked about nail preference, and I said "Powder, red." Manager repeated "Dipping powder," and I said yes. However, when Phu started my nails, I immediately knew this was not the style of dipping that I expected. Phu had a clear short jar with red powder in it. I tried to explain to Phu that I wanted the style where a brush is dipped into some clear liquid and then into the powder and then spread onto the nail. Phu continued to put something on my nail and then dip my finger into the powder. I could see right away that there was no stopping her. I let her finish my nails and again tried to explain to her the style of dipping that I was referring to. I think I finally got my message across to Phu, and she told me "You should go to someone that you like to do your nails." I told her that my friend had referred me her, and I wasn't unhappy with the way my nails looked, but I was unhappy that she kept interrupting me and would not let me finish trying to explain this to her at the beginning . I told her I don't know the different between dipping, acryl, fake nails, etc., much less how they are applied. I just know the style I preferred was dipping the brush in to the liquid, then the powder, and applying as 1 thick coat. I think she finally realized what I was talking about, and told me, "That's a different kind of powder." Really? Why couldn't she take the time to listen to me, and maybe we could have come to some kind of agreement. She also told me that "We are through." The young customer beside me seemed to understand what I was talking about, and I then asked "What should I ask for when I come back?" Phu never told me, and the customer beside me said, "Full nails." When I went back to wash my hands, I could see in the mirror that Phu was talking to "the manager" and the other tech, and I asked her when I got back, "Did you tell them what I said?" She wouldn't look at me, but I don't think they realize the customer can see you in the mirror. I had also smudged a couple of my nails during my explanation and asked Phu to touch them up. She said she didn't see anything wrong, but "I'll do it to make you happy." I said, "Yes, make me happy. We are through." Phu did not even go to the register to check me out. The other tech did, and I did not leave a tip. I am a senior citizen, and I get my nails done maybe every 6 weeks, and I was referred to this salon by my friend, and I sure didn't expect this type of rudeness in front of other customers. It was very embarrassing, and I was in tears when I got home. Per some of the other reviews, I can see that Phu has been rude to other customers, so I'm relieved to realize that it's not just me. Above all, I liked the salon. It was clean, well organized, appeared friendly, and fast. It's just a shame that this 1 experience has left a bad taste in my mouth about this salon. Phu should try a little more patience and listen to the customer closely to make sure both you're both on the same page. Evidently in the nail world, things change, products change, techniques advance, and as a customer, I'm depending on that tech to assist me to the best of their ability. Also, it cost $13 just to trim my cuticles back, which I thought was high, but was willing to pay for. Needless to say, Phu just ruded herself and the foot tech out of a tip. I really wanted to give a tip to foot tech, but I did not want Phu to get 1 penny of the tip. I don't see my going back to this salon in the future."
"I waited to post a review until after going a few times. I love this salon! I walked in the first time and was greeted with a huge smile. They showed me all the gel polishes and they did a beautiful job on my nails! I love that they know their regulars by first name. Clean and tidy. I will be going here from now on!!"
"Best salon I've been too! We were greeted right away which helps you feel like they want your business. Three of us got pedicures and each tech was nice and personable. They each did great work too! The salon was clean. TVs would be nice but they had music playing so it wasn't awkwardly quiet. They have a clean restroom too, which is always a plus."
"these photos don’t do it justice. this nail salon is clean, nice atmosphere but my nails look awful. they are short but they look awful. the nail polish isn’t evenly distributed it’s all caked up on the cuticles. my pedicure was fine other than the girl cut my toe nails wrong, didn’t cut the sides of the toe like they’re supposed to. the girl was very nice but the paint job on it was bad too. definitely not $80 worth of service. my professional nail lady was absolutely disappointed in the way this pedi was done. if i could give -10 stars i would."
