Reviews of Sage Salon
"Hi All - I booked for an appointment at 1:30 and got stuck in traffic, yet I called them that 1:34pm I am almost there and went into the place by 1:36.. they just discussed if she got enough time for me to get through the hair for 5 long minutes, so they can be ready for their 2pm appointment. After that long discussion… guess what they asked me to reschedule. If they told me over the call, then I wouldn’t bother to drive in to the place. Such a waste of time. Not a friendly place at alll.. everything looks so beautiful but guess not the individuals.. soo disappointing experience!!!!"
"Long overdue for a cut due to COVID, and wanting to try a new stylist, I made an appointment at Sage. I was surprised they could get me in so quickly, but I guess in hindsight I should have requested to wait for someone who had more experience. I just asked on the phone for someone who was skilled at medium length cuts. I showed my stylist where my last cut was and what I wanted changed, and I also had two pictures of exactly what I wanted, and one that I showed her that was very similar but too short for reference. She seemed to totally get what I wanted, and I even pointed out twice that I loved how long the front of my hair already was, and emphasized that I wanted to keep as much length in the front as possible while creating a very dramatic Bob with some extra layers in the back. I had basically this cut already, minus the shorter back. I really just needed a trim in the front and sides, and some off the back for the more dramatic angle. She offered to take 'some off at first' as a starting point and we could go shorter if we needed to- so I felt comfortable. She started in the back, and by the time I was able to see what was happening, it was too late. My hair is about one to two inches too short in the back and 4-6 inches too short everywhere else. My hair grows very slow, so now I'm stuck with this for months until I can try again for the cut I should have gotten in the first place. Thank goodness I noticed and told her as soon I saw what was happening- I'm afraid to know how much shorter the front would have gotten if I hadn't. All I can assume is that my stylist was new, and all she heard was the word 'shorter'. She seemed genuinely confused, so I honestly have wonder if she even looked at the photos I showed her or listened to anything I said in the beginning. I really hate the idea of leaving bad reviews, but I really really don't want anyone else to have this experience. My stylist should have told me up front if she was not comfortable or capable of performing this haircut. I would have happily waited for someone more seasoned. I know it's hair and it will grow back (slowly for me), but I'm highly disappointed, a bit surprised due to all the good reviews and nice haircuts I saw while at the salon, and seriously looking into extensions. I can honestly say this is the most incorrect haircut I've gotten since middle school. I hope the salon owner will emphasise the importance of being honest before attempting something outside of your abilities to the stylists so no one else has this experience. Photos of what I wanted versus what I got."
"I’ve been seeing Amber every 6 weeks for my highlights and haircut for a few years now. The color work she does is great! My hair is naturally thin and fine, but has never felt thicker and healthier than it does now that Amber cuts it and guides me on the products I should use. I never have to wait very long. Amber keeps it moving and always works with me well on scheduling, since I work full-time. Everyone at the salon is super nice and funny. I love listening and laughing along with all of them. Happy to recommend all the ladies at this salon."
"I wish I could give my review more than 5 stars. I have been going to Carmen for over 2 years for my lash extensions and she is amazing! Carmen is professional, does an awesome job in making sure the lashes I get fit my eye shape (plus she does volumes), I always have great retention and longevity with my extensions, and makes sure I’m comfortable throughout the entire process. I HIGHLY recommend her! She also does a great job with waxing my eyebrows. If you are thinking of getting lash extensions or even a brow wax - Carmen is your girl!"
