Lizard's Thicket Restaurant

"The club I'm a member of has its annual luncheon meeting here. We've been coming here for the past 9 years (except for Covid years of 20, 21). Management has always been very accommodating and the food and service has been great. Kudos to the management team of Stephanie and Bonnie and our server (Vanessa) last Sunday. The private room was ready when promised (thanks Bonnie) and Vanessa provided phenomenal service. We are already planning next year's meeting to be held at the LT."

"While we frequent the Lexington location near our home, we stop here for breakfast when traveling to Columbia. Consistent food and a friendly staff. Great catfish and liver pudding."

"Whenever I see a diner with a placard on the interstate, I know it has to have some kind of pull, for good or for ill. And when I pull in to see a large facility and a sign for "overflow parking" I always think "well this has to be good if they routinely need overflow." I walked in and before I even reached the desk I could smell the kitchen, always a good sign. And the daily specials when I saw the board made me glad I decided to stop in. Service was prompt, and the food came out far quicker than I was expecting. You don't see many places with creamed corn on their rotation, much less their menu, and theirs was absolutely phenomenal. Portion sizes were small enough that I had room for dessert, but large enough to fill and satisfy. It's a bit out of the way for me from where I currently live, but it may very well provide a consideration for the argument to move in the future (put that on your "reasons to move here" local council) and I do intend on returning at some point when my schedule and travel allows it."
