"I’m always pro-women businesses, but the two times I’ve been here I’ve had the same experience. I’ve asked two different waitresses if my selection was spicy and both said no. After a few bites I was choking from chili and my face broke out in itchy tears. At one dining, to top it off, I was charged twice. Uh, gotta laugh as I’m fairly chill, but I’m never going back!"

"I have always wanted to visit the Hunan Cafe but can't say that I enjoyed my first experience. The restaurant is nice, small, and intimate with Asian wall decor. My service was great as well. I was not happy with the taste and amount of food I received. I ordered shrimp and broccoli with white sauce and brown rice to go. When I got home my rice container was half empty and my shrimp and broccoli had absolutely no flavor at all. The family that was in the restaurant as I ordered my food seemed to be enjoying their meal so maybe I need to give the restaurant another try. It won't be anytime soon. Hunan Cafe just didn't do it for me."

"Decided to try this quaint Chinese Restaurant today. The food score on the door was a 100%. Having a good food score is a must for me. From 4-6pm they offer an early bird special that provides fried rice and an egg roll with your meal. I ordered the Hunan Chicken and Hot Sour Soup. My spouse ordered the sesame chicken. The Hunan Chicken was fresh hot and some what spicy hot. Lots of fresh vegetables. Rice was plain fried rice and was good for what it was. The Hot and Sour soup was surprisingly delicious. This was very hearty lots flavor and plenty of ingredients that didn’t leave it wanting. The egg roll was good for what it was, I have had better. Lastly I tried the sesame chicken and the sauce they used was just right. The chicken wasn’t as crunchy as I would expect for this type of dish. You can tell that the chicken is freshly cut chicken breast. However, with the batter that they used it should have been fried longer to make it crunchy. Overall this is a good place to visit. I would like to visit it again and try something different to see what else they offer. Also it got really busy so they must be doing something right. Service was a bit slow but very polite. Overall this place rates a “3.5 to 4” stars for this style of restaurant."

"I loved it! The dining area was clean, the sweet tea was amazing, the food tasted so fresh and of the best quality. It didn’t take very long for the food to be prepared and although the waiter was not very friendly, he did a great job getting us everything we needed. He was the only server for the cafe, so I can’t blame him for not being very social. Hunan Cafe is small and we were lucky to get there right on time. I had an excellent first experience and loved my food!! Everyone in our party enjoyed their dish. I will be back and definitely recommend them to anyone. Thanks for the excellent experience! Stay fresh!"

"Yum, yum, yum!!!! If you want a quality, inexpensive Asian meal, go to Hunan, NOW!! We arrived as soon as they opened at 4:30pm on Friday night. They run a early bird special from 4:30-6. Great deals!! We ordered the chicken lo mein and seshuan chicken, both came with two chicken wings, an egg roll and fried rice all for $9.98. The kids had a chicken lo mein and chicken fingers that was served with steamed broccoli. The waitress was very attentive, the food was hot and fresh and it was served timely. We will DEFINITLY be back."
