"Everything was absolutely amazing, it definitely did not disappoint. Authentic Dominican food and awesome drinks. The live band was amazing and the atmosphere was festive and colorful. The service was wonderful. The red beans and Dominican fried chicken were amazing. I will definitely be back."
"Tamarindo is a true Dominican Restaurant with the most delicious Dominican food I've ever had! We enjoyed it so much, the atmosphere is great, the decor is fun, the staff is friendly too. There is a bar as well so you can just order drinks and sit at the bar. We had a great time! Highly recommend!"
"First off, I truly didn’t expect a lot from a Dominican restaurant in South Carolina. I was blown away by the atmosphere, Juan our server was outstanding, and the food was excellent. Problem was I didn’t really get what I wanted. Several mix ups in the kitchen and miscommunications on what we ordered and what was available, I ended up ordering a sandwich, which was great, but not what I came here for. I noticed a couple of other tables having to look at the menu again after ordering to order something else. All that said, we will try again, and hope that the kitchen can deliver."
"I truly wish that this Dominican food restaurant could better represent the warmth and hospitality that Dominican culture is known for. It would be wonderful to see this establishment embrace the friendliness and welcoming spirit that characterizes the Dominican people, as it would undoubtedly elevate the overall dining experience. I recently dined at this restaurant, and it left me with mixed feelings. The establishment had a lovely theme, and it was impeccably clean, which was a good start to our evening. However, our experience was marred by several disappointing aspects. Firstly, we had to endure a lengthy 35-minute wait to be seated, despite informing the staff that we were ready. The delay was attributed to a shortage of staff, although the restaurant was nearly empty. Unfortunately, no one attended to the entrance promptly, which was frustrating. Also another 50min to a hour after we ordered the food. We decided to order the big paella, a dish meant for sharing. To our surprise, the restaurant failed to provide individual plates for us to enjoy the meal together. This made the dining experience less enjoyable. Moreover, obtaining simple items like napkins proved to be a hassle. Another letdown was the limited availability of items from the menu. Some of the dishes we had in mind were unavailable, which restricted our choices. To make matters worse, when we requested containers for our leftovers, the restaurant couldn't provide them. For me the inconvenience that let to the final straw was when I order a cafesito (coffe/desert) and server came back from the kitchen with the news that there was no coffe... In summary, the restaurant had a nice ambiance and was exceptionally clean. However, the service left much to be desired. I hope these issues can be addressed to enhance the overall dining experience for future customers."
"Overall I give 5 stars. Service, vibe and food was all great! The patelitos where good, came with beef cheese and chicken, chicken was the best one. The plantains were cooked well, just needed some salt but not a big deal since you can add it. The drinks are also good, a good amount of alcohol in them compared to most other places who’s drinks usually taste watered down. They also have a nice outside area, great for spring/summer time. Overall a really good place. I will be coming back!"
